American Brown Sugar Dry Rub Recipe

    American Brown Sugar Dry Rub

this rub, or similar variations, is common fair for many Pit Men throughout the States. And for good reason. That sweet brown sugar married to onion, garlic, and cayenne powder, with some paprika, coarse salt, fresh ground peppercorn and celery seed......rubbed all over the Q will make a dead man dance!

all that is really needed is a sack of Mortons Smoke Flavor Sugar Cure and take the little pack of spices and throw it away unless you will be during some curing too,
But maybe mix a little granulated garlic with the brown sugar cure and rub in and on your meat a hour or a day or a week before starting to BBQ, Put in the fridge,, it is all you need and will not fall for the commercializing of you need all this shit to cook a good hotsmoke or traditional BBQ,
Take a 1/2 can of beer and shove it up the gut cavity of whole chickens and set them up in your rack, hell do 8 or how many will fit in your unit, they be good all week, and they look so cute setting in there on their beer can with the stub legs setting on the rack, and be sure to hang or hold turkeys by the neck with the open botton down so that the moisture will drain as there will be some, people will come from miles around to eat your ham like turks. Beef ribs, pork ribs and roasts will never be rhe same again and all so simple out of one sack that lasts a lifetime. And costs about $5.

Nothing better tasting than that Deep South Bayou country flavor on chicken, pork, beef, and fish. Try this variation of the classic Louisiana rub on your next barbeque.
