    Bangkaew Question

Think I've read on TD that some of you posters have had experience with the Thai Bangkaew breed of dog?

I've got a 9 month old pure breed male Bangkaew that I've raised as a puppy - 9 months is still a puppy I guess but my question is whether to get him a 'companion'?

When out on his leash around the mooban striking fear into my neighbors - "does he bite?" they also say I should have two of them. I just don't know...one of these dogs seems like enough stubborness/hard headedness so not sure. I'm not into raising a litter of pups if we get a bitch but then I don't want him trying to hump another male.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers!

If you want 2 Bangkaews you should have bought 2 puppies at the same time so they grew up together and of the same sex if you do not want to breed them
The one you have will not like sharing your affection with a new dog

Well, as it turns out, shortly after I posted the OP I mated my male with a friends Bankaew Bitch and kept two of the puppies. My male now has lots of companionship from these two spayed Bitches.

There's a thread running re his new family somewhere on here.
