Check out the area just north and south of the Cha Am Regent. There is a nice little village there with plenty of good, inexpensive restaurants and a few shops. There is also a good Thai market (Wednesday and Saturday). The beach is a bit nicer than Hua Hin and it is wonderfully uncongested and peaceful.

You sure can't find such kind of beach in Pattaya...

I used to live in Pattaya, that's why I wanted to see new things. That is my first time in Hua Hin also, well..just gave myself a present.

Hmmm, if I said the beach, the bay, and the weather, you might have tripped me up somewhat...

Hua Hin was ferging hot last time I was there, but I'll be back there soon.

I went there a few months ago - stayed in Cha-am and rode a horse along the beach.

    Fairly plasticy tourist-ville though.

A guess it makes a change from Pattaya for w/ends away from Bangkok.

Took the train there- about 7 fucking hours so got the bus back - only about 3 hrs.
