Ban Grood Chill Out Trip.

Saw Pat's pics today of getting a train down to Hua Hin for the weekend, and it reminded me of this wittle trip.


There's a lovely quiet little place 150km or so south of Hua Hin, just North of Bang Saphan.

A very convenient and easy way to get there is by 1st class aircon train.

Leaves Hualamphong at 8am, and arrives at around 1pm.


Very quaint little train station, a saleng to any resort is around 40thb.

We stayed in this place. Really cheap, less than 2k per night iirc.

Nice and quiet big long beach.

Pity I only seem to have a handful of photos. Think these are all my sister's pics. Fook knows what happened mine.

Everybody likes a pool on a hot sunny day.



Easy to rent out a car through the resorts, nice big temple up on the hill.

The train back is at a convenient 3pm-ish.


Nice little easy place for a 2 or 3 day break from foooooookin' Bangkok.

I do know they are notoriously late and slow, you cant drink beer on them, that Luigi is full of shit and theres no first class train that does that journey and no one calls the place Ban Grood, its Ban Krut

Google maps says 4 and a half hours by car and 5 and a half hours by train which sounds ok for a train journey I guess if its on time, which i highly doubt.
