    Tide Table -- On Line

Anyone know if tide tables for Thailand's coastal areas are available on line? They are published by the Royal Thai Navy Hydrological Department, but I can't find them on their web site.

    TIA

Well, you can never be too careful.....

Actually, I'm in Cha Am and my buddy was asking me where to get tide charts for the area. I figured they might be on-line. But....

I did find this site which has charts for Sattahip and other port locations in Thailand.

Since Sattahip is about on the same longitude and in the same sea as Cha Am I figured the tides would be close. But these seems to fly in the face of observation. The chart predicts a high tide at about 6:00 PM today at Sattahip. However, the tide was very high today in Cha Am at about 11:00 AM.

I realize that coastlines and bays can cause significant variation in tides, but this seems rather extreme.

Anyway, I'm still looking for an on-line tide chart for the Hua Hin/Cha Am areas.

Think? you may stuggle, these people have to make money, having worked offshore most of my life we purchase tide tables yearly, they are extremley comprehensive. You could try "Fugro" web site, they have bought out so many companies recently, also IMO & Solas maygive a lead.
    Good luck

I think the tide in the Bay of Bangkok rotates in an anti clockwise direction so basing a prediction on a place further South probably won't help much.

You could visit the naval base at Hua Hin or see the harbour police at the jetty - if there is one. There is definitely a harbour police office in Pranburi.

    But on-line I can't find either.
    Lord, deliver us from e-mail.

    This will do it.

British Government is good for somethings.

EasyTide - on-line tidal predictions from the UKHO

You can a five day prediction for free.

Hua Hin was high at 08:58 and 2.3 Meters.

And that's a bloody weird shaped graph.
