Police seek British driver of Mercedes after Chiang Mai crash

Thairath reports that Chiang Mai police are looking for Briton Simon Wayling, 45, who reportedly fled the scene after his Mercedes car was involved in an accident with a pick-truck on Chiang Mai - Doi Saket road.

The accident resulted in the death of 2 women who were traveling in the pick-up truck.

Another car, a Mitsubishi Pajero, also crashed into the pick-up after the original accident....

Wow. Looks like he was really hauling ass. Should be a bit easier to find him than your average fleeing Somchai.

From what I can make out in the Thai news article ,he went into the back of the Pickup and spun it around which was then hit by another Car.I would guess the 2nd accident did the most damage as he has managed to drive his Merc away !!

he can be found in the closest temple.
He followed Thai tradition and thought it was best to start straight away with meditation,.....
He read in the Thai news some time ago that Thai police and prosecutors have no problem with this Thai tradition.

Fair play to Mercedes if he walked away from that.

I would assume that he is just landing in Heathrow just about now.

The great escape is not walking out alive from the wreckage, it's getting his fugitive arse out of the country.
Let the insurance deal with it.

That Pitbull piece of shit who murdered the Navy seal was extradited from the Uk.

    The precedent has been set.

I should imagine this guy will have a life and family up there and pay his way out of it.

Do you actually understand how that works, Pat?

Well it is hard because the spelling of the name isn't known for a start. Secondly, it also reads as if he was not living in CM, and maybe Bangkok. But that might have been where the car was from. So who knows.

I would suggest Dilli that you put the feelers out in the BJ bar of Sukhumvit to see if anyone knows him. Visit all of them and then come back and tell us what you found out.
