Thread: Finnish Man’s Fall From Pattaya Balcony Ruled a Suicide

A 78-year-old Finnish man was found dead 10 floors below the condominium balcony police said he jumped from this morning near Jomtien Beach.

The man, who reportedly lived on the fourth floor of the Angket Condominium, left a note for a friend in Swedish before going up to the 10th floor to jump from a hallway balcony, according to Lt. Nakornrat Nonsilad of Pattaya Police Station.

“Have a good one,” it concluded.....

The man had the sense to go to the 10th floor to jump he didn't want to be lying in a hospital barely alive from jumping from the 4th floor , Sad Days , R.I.P.

Is it really so difficult to find a way to go to the big sleep quietly, without causing so much distress to others and without the sure terror to oneself at the final moment ?

It is quite uncivilised that this old fellow has to hurl himself off a 10th floor balcony to splatter on the ground instead of being able to end his life peacefully and in a controlled manner using appropriate drugs if he has decided that his innings has run its natural course.

What is it about these self indulgent fuckers so self-absorbed in the tedious misery of their worthless and futile little lives that they are so compelled to end them in a manner utterly disproportionate to their insignificance.

I find it quite mystifying that they don't just pop down to the pharmacy and swallow a stack of whatever pills, wash them down with a bottle of Scotch and pop a polythene bag over their heads. Going for the big splat is really such an inconsiderate and thoughtless action.
