A MAN survived a 15 metre drop when he plunged form the fifth floor of a Chinese building and was impaled on a light pole.
People nearby heard the man’s screams and called emergency services.
They were forced to cup down the post and transport it and the man to hospital, where it was removed during a three-hour operation.
The accident happened in southwest China’s Sichuan province when builder Li Jen arrived home to discover he had forgotten his keys.
Everything tastes better on a stick....
The 37-year-old attempted to climb onto a balcony through a window five floors up, only to slip and come crashing down onto the pole below.
Doctors say the nine centimetre wide pole missed all his essential organs and they now expect him to make a full recovery.
