2 Russian women killed in Pattaya

Two Russian tourists shot dead at ‘Jomtien beach’ Pattaya City.

Two Russians, enjoying drinks and swimming, early on Saturday morning were found on the beach, shot dead, in their deck chairs.

6 am, on Saturday morning, police were on the scene, after reports of gunshots, headed by Police officer Police Major General Seatha Marloen from Dongtan sub police station Banglamung Chonburi.

Upon arrival they discovered the bodies of two Russian tourists 25, and 30 years of age slumped in their chairs, apparently the victims of a ‘contract style ‘ killing, opposite Ananathaya Resort hotel.. All personal effects were intact, and, police reportedly have the slaying recorded on the newly installed CCTV system.

The victims, Miss Svirkova Liubov aged 25 and her friend Miss Tsimfer Tatiana aged 30, both Russian nationals, were in their beach clothes, and had been relaxing on the beach in the early morning. Both were shot with a 9mm pistol. Miss Liubov received 4 bullets, one in her left arm and three in her abdomen, Miss Tatiana received one in the back, both were shot at close range. Items on their table included a mobile phone, a pack of cigarettes, and two small bottles of Thai whisky; footprints showed the gunman had been wearing combat type shoes.

A nearby security guard who heard the gunshots, and witnessed the gunman escaping on a motorcycle, had earlier seen the ladies, at 3am, on their journey from the Dragon Beach hotel, to the beach some 500 meters away. The ladies regularly visited the beach at this time,He was first on the scene after hearing the first shot and some screaming for help, the further four shots rang out as he ran towards the scene, the assailant was described as young, although, no further details were given. A second witness said he saw the gunman driving away at speed in the direction of Soi Chiyapruk. The receptionist of the Dragon Beach hotel remembers the two victims as part of a group, who arrived on 16/2/07. They were due to depart on 3/03/07.

Police Lieutenant General Suthin Thrabpueng said he was shocked at the crime as there is no motive or theft, and is eager to bring this criminal to book, as this is very serious case, and damaging for tourism, as this is not the first time tourists have been discovered murdered on the beach.

Gotta agree with this.

Most foreigners here agree that they are a little surprised that images like these are widely publicised. Given that the acceptable norm for images of this nature not to be published in the West I would feel more comfortable without them. I have an imagination and can summise what 2 dead women with gunshot wounds looks like. I dont need to see the actual event.

I would urge all posters to think before posting images like this as I reckon we have to draw the line somewhere. Self moderation should be the way forward.

If thats the evidence then I say that they have sloppy hit men in Thailand, 4 in the guts, one in the left arm and 1 in the back sure ain't what I would call contract hit.

And that one gal sure got some soggy tits for so young. should maybe have smudged that tit a little, makes me sick.
Other than that they looked OK to me.

i tend to agree with eliminator we dont really need to see dead people.

however, i do wonder just cos they were russian that everyone can say they were in the sex trade, they may have been but equally they may have been genuine tourists - i dont see the evidence yet.

Let's see from Siberia and a very poor area. Next - its been reported that their holiday was paid for by someone in thailand. Hmmmmm hate to jump to conclusions, but looks like they were ladies for hire masking as tourists. Now they certainly didnt deserve what happened to them, no one does.

Hell you wanna have a glance thru the thaivisa thread, they got guys in there saying the Russians were killed elsewhere and then dragged to the beach and stuck in the deck chairs, that they were suffocated first, that they were shot with a .38 and not a 9mm cos of the wound sizes, fok me .38 and 9mm and .357 are the same size near enough on entry, and 9mm and .38 there really aint any power differance.

Dunno what you can buy here,but some soft nose and/or hollow points can make a nice bloody mess,esp on exit.

bullets that are made to break up aren't designed to exit, they are designed to cause as much disruption as possible to the inside of your body, most militaries now use small calibre stuff that is designed to just go through the body, better to have 50 injured people screaming in pain and a 100 people to look after them for a few weeks than 50 dead people.

hollow points do have a bit more shocking power than a normal bullet, but generally a 9mm or .38 aint gonna be fatal in the first 24 hours with a stomach shot. But a .357 which is the same diameter but a hell of a lot more powerful and longer will go through your stomach and probably out of your back taking loads of your nice body bits that you wanted to keep inside of you outside of you, also the actual shocking power on impact will most likely cause damage to your internal organs, best way of testing shocking power of a gun is with a quarter inch piece of ply wood which would act as clothing, and a 5 gallon drum of water behind it, you shoot that with a .22 and the water just leaks out, you shoot it with a .357 and there aint nothing left to look at apart from garbage.

Yep,I realise that.I've shot plenty of living things that are now dead when I was a young fella.deer,pigs etc.

All I know,is that there is a huge difference to what sort of ammo you use.A hollow point even in a .38 can cause some nasty damage.Entry wounds can be similar,but either the exit or the mess inside are two different things again.

i put a hole right through a fallow deer with a ,.30-06 solid.Small entry,1.5" hole on the exit.done the same with a .270 hollow nose.entry small,exit ..about a 4 " hole and one hell of a mess inside.both calibers are similar.
