Wouldn't get near the attention and disconcert of anything towards Jewish/Israel......which has long become the poster child of protection and apologies [especially in the West].

Time to get over this "special protection" when applied to the chosen ones.

You'll find these novelty T's [or figurines] on Sukhumvit, Khao San, Phuket, Patters, etc. depicting a humourous edge of Buddha's image. And the tolerance of locals amounts to indifference.

if people want to idealise narcasistic mass murderers, thats their right as it is mine to think of them what i want. Thats the nature of free contry and you have to accept the rough with the smooth.

World history is littered with nassastistc personailty types getiing power and doing evil, and this is repreated again and again because of we never learn to see people with these personaility types as the unquestioned evil by wich we see pedophiles.

These empted headed fools wearing the faces of these men of evil of which they know nothing beyond the teashirt looks cool a manifestation of this ignorance that lets these men of evil successed agin and again and again. I dispise these idiots far more than i do these people who view these men as strong leaders who did at least get the trains to run on time

What historical Thai figure would your average German or Israeli choose, what Asian history do they study.

Typical western approach, if we believe it's wrong it's wrong for you and if you don't stop we will throw some more bombs in your city.

    Unfortunately, quite true.
Heavy towards the subscription on Eurocentricism...on all accounts.

    ^ Excellent point.

And, some while back in the UK, T-shirts along the lines of

were a fairly common sight. They were at least ironic and, arguably, an example of black humour. The Thai examples likely don't have any intent beyond making use of icons turned up on the internet.

I propose we strike a deal which is fair for all.

Israeli backpackers are the scum of the earth and thoroughly a despicable and unlikeable bunch.

We will ban the Hitler stuff as long as those tossers are banned from ever setting foot in Thailand again and that includes that whining crying bastard from the Embassy.

    Fair deal EH.

2nd or 3rd floor near the escalators at terminal 21. some of the stuff is pretty funny, and i got a kick out of mchitler.

As far as i am concerned, both hitler and ronald are pop icons, the combination quite funny.

Lets bear in mind that journos take a story like this to an Israeli official, who is kind of obligated to say....

'Well we don't approve of course'

(He's not going to say 'ha ha, teletubbies', or 'fok off, i'm busy')

And the reporter gets his headline. One story out of the week's quota is written. The journo doesn't have to go to the Israelis and kick up this stink, but it's 'low hanging fruit'. A nice reliable 'quote monkey'.

Please be aware of how you're being manipulated journalistically in stories like this.
    Good points.
Not really. Not when this bit is in the original article:

Shoham recently remonstrated with Hut. “I said to him, “I don’t mind the doll; just take the face off,’” the ambassador says.

I bet Thais would get terribly offended if Germans or Israelis were making such paraphernalia featuring certain Thai historical figures. There would be arrests, 20-year prison sentences, likely lynchings as well...

Still, the major problem here is ignorance, not malice. In the streets of Bangkok you can often see Thais wearing T-shirts with obscene semi-jokes in English (that reflect badly on the wearer). Hitler is no different.
This sums up how silly and childlike the Thais are, generally speaking. If you consider then at the same maturity level as a pre-teen, their antics fall into perspective and are worth a sad shake of the head, shrug of the shoulders and a "They are kids - what are you going to do?"

Hitler was actually a great leader. He was willing to step down from office to avoid a war. Approx. 150,000 Jews served in Hitler's army. Several Jews were generals. In 1935 the Zionist movement put an ad in the New York Times calling for a boycott of German products. The Headline was: "Jew's Declare War on Germany". Zionist Jews stabbed Germany in the back at the WWI treaty of Versailles which caused Germany to lose the war. Red Cross records show that approx. 230,000 Jews died in WWII Geman camps, so the holocaust is a lie. The Jews that were put in these camps were either criminals or those that sought to undermine Germany's chance of winning WWII. On & on. Hitler was correct in wanting Jews out of his country. When in Thailand I will wear my authentic WWII leather belt pouch displaying an authentic metal 'army "BEVO" Eagle with swastica' with pride. I really do hope some pack packing Jew will face me with hatred. I'll make him eat his beanie cap or shove it up his ass.
May the Cyclops eat you next to last.

^^Unfortunatly I think all you will see is sympathy and sorrow at seeing such a sad excuse of a human being who has to use such props to support and maintain his fragile ego. But given you will believe anything anyone tells you as long as it's different.... you probably will confuse yourself and think its hate
