The only way to solve the problem is to take religion out of the equation. No more BACs in the White House or PACs threatening MOCs in providing support for a Zionist regime. No more ties to fundamentalist Muslim governments supporting freedom fighters opposed to Israel.

Take away the government of Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Let the Swiss setup a government that is neutral to religion and one that governs Jerusalem. Then we'll see if Jews and Muslims can live side by side.

    *BAC = Born Again Christian
    *PAC = Political Action Committee
    *MOC = Member of Congress

How do Thais feel about Muslims? After all it is their country and not ours.My familie is not to crazy about them.
What about your family! I would realy like to hear some answers.
Has anybody ever read a sign in Thailand that reads "No Muslims served"? I have.
Has anybody considered the money that this mess is costing Thailand?

If muslims can't even get along with buddhist, who the hell are they ever going to get along with.

Reading this again, I find this irritating, it's what's called a religious slur, and is not welcome on this board.
It's similar to saying "Jews cant get along with anyone".

This kind of generality isn't apt.
I do business with several Thai muslims and they certainly don't subscribe to
    the jihadist bullshit.

I lived in a Thai Muslim neighbourhood for 6 years, and haven't had any problems whatsoever (well, I got ripped of for 1500bt), nor has anyone else.
They're just people, and you get the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Same here, in places where I've had to manage people Muslims were no different in terms of attitude, attendence, or fun after work: I had an assistant manager from Pakistan, several shift leaders from Lebanon, etc. and they were no different than anyone born here. My Pakistani friend was happy to tell me about Islam but never once pressured me or condemned me because I wasn't Muslim. In contrast, I have been literally assaulted when living in the Bible Belt by people trying to convert me to Christianity.

If you're implying that all Thai Muslims are troublemakers or can't get along with Buddhists then you're going to be waiting a long time for anyone to reply to that kind of nonsense.

I never said "All" muslims. Just like you would never say "All" Christians. Or did you?
Anyway, thank God that a "LARGE SCALE DEVASTATION IN THAILAND" could be avoided. I hope we ALL agree on this.

Why do you suppose he wanted to target U.S., British, and Australian interests?

The biggest threat in the world isn't any kind of terrorism. Do you suppose you are more likely to die from a car accident, a plane crash, a strike of lightening, or a terrorist act? I frankly worry more about being stabbed while walking downtown than dying in a terrorist attack anywhere I go.

Terrorism is blown way out of proportion (no pun intended). The instability that is coming as oil supplies tighten and decline will make 9-11 look like a walk in the park.

With all your negative remarks about America, it makes one wonder, why you are there? With the above statement by you, one would think you are planning to do some damage of your own.

I must admit this isn't quite as effective as the methods the Muslim fundamentalist use to gain converts. I don't think Christians can be fooled by that 7 virgins carrot either.

How many Muslim fundamentalists have tried to convert you?
How many bible huggers have knocked on your door?

The answer for myself is zero, and many, respectively.

I don't think the Muslim violence in Southern Thailand has anything to do with violence in Iraq and Lebanon.

I find it strange though that all the anti-Bush, anti-Israel, anti-America posters aren't taking this as an opportunity to show how this sort of thing should be handled since they don't like what's going on in the ME.

I think it's just in their do nothing, whine and complain nature to have nothing constructive to put forth. If this violence expands ... who are you going to blame then ? GWB of course.

I really wish the forum intellectuals would put out a plan and take some action before this gets worse and somebody has to take a wire brush to Muslims in yet another part of the world.

From Southern Thailand to anti-Israel, to GWB and finally, "forum intellectuals" - it just doesn't make sense.

This wasn't intended to be about terrorism. Do you suppose the world's biggest oil consumers are just going to sit around and do nothing as oil supplies become less than demand? If you were in Beijing or Washington wouldn't you want to do something to control supplies if you were in charge?

I wasn't implying there would be more 9-11 disasters from terrorism. But I bet there will be conflict among world powers that will result in deaths more numerous over the control of oil supplies.

Well if you don't hate America or Americans, then you have a strange way of showing it with the responses you give on this forum. You are a constant whiner of how you were "physically assaulted" to become Christian and on and on about how stupid you think they are.

So go on, tell us, why are you in America? Is it the money or what is it that you LIKE about America? America doesn't need a--holes like you to come over and make money off the US and then go around saying crap all the time.

I don't think "hate" is the appropriate word.

And what you are saying Eliminator is the old line, "America: love it or leave it."

How about this line: "America: love it and try to make changes for the better."
