If Fox is predicting it's over, then it's over. I don't trust Fox to tell the truth so maybe Brit is right. Or, it's all a clever trick to make Obama over confident and slack off.

Odd since there are only 100 senate seats.

    Think CMN meant electoral votes.

he has projected 273 electoral votes for Obama.

he might have said 'locked in' if the election was held today or some such.

    either way, Mcain is fnuckled.

    This from Rove's internet site.

"39 new state polls released in the first three days of October have given Barack Obama his first lead over the magic number of 270 since mid-July. Minnesota (10 EV) and New Hampshire (4 EV) both moved from toss-up to Obama, giving him 273 electoral votes to McCain’s 163, with 102 votes remaining as a toss-up. If the election were held today, Obama would win every state John Kerry won in 2004, while adding New Mexico (5 EV), Iowa (7 EV), and Colorado (9 EV) to his coalition."

    Where did I read

"Who will the American people vote for?"

"An old white war veteran or a black man?"

It's the economy that hammered that final nail in the coffin. That bailout plan that couldn't have waited a month until after the election, so essentially GW helped Obama seize victory. The problem is that GW wants to leave somewhat of a legacy. I don't think he's worrying so much about the "R" word as he is about the "D" word. If he leaves office with America in a Depression, then he will have failed as President. In his eyes, the bailout plan was a quick fix. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it worked.

People remember how strong it was when Clinton was President, so in their minds, they are thinking "we need a democrat".
