Brexit-backing businessman Sir James Dyson is to relocate the Dyson head office from the UK to Singapore.
The bombshell announcement will mean Dyson is no longer a British registered company and Singapore will become its main tax base.
Billionaire Sir James was one of the loudest business supporters of Brexit at the 2016 referendum and when the talks stagnated in 2017 he urged Mrs May to 'walk away' and embrace leaving Europe.
....
typical
Yep...it's what Brexiters do.
Yes global Britain, he's gone to Singapore not fucking Brussels. Seems it's you remainers who can't see outside the UK now never mind the EU.
It's amazing how the Remainers take such pleasure over everything,. Kind of like losing your wife and child in a car accident but you feel better because some other poor fuker sitting next to you in hospital lost his wife, two kids and a dog - that is the level of mentality they have and seem genuinely pleased with themselves - the future is indeed bleak with these idiots.
Once more in the Queen's English?
Just in case you missed the point, this is a big mouth Brexiteer bailing out of the UK with his tail between his legs and taking his billion pound company with him ....right in the middle of Brexit shitstorm and 2 months before the UK is supposed to exit the EU.
Why is he moving to Singapore when the UK will shortly become the "Singapore of the North Atlantic" ?
Its pointless wasting your time BB, every piece of news that they think helps justify their assumption gets spun up, offshoring and relocation of HQs for tax purposes has been going on for decades and will continue, its greed and economics nothing to do with Brexit.
TBH this circus is getting fukin boring what we need is a true demonstration of EU unity, say a little soviet incursion...see how that plays out with Barnier, Junker and that fukwit Von whatthefukshisname
Cherry picking anything from the media to discredit a clean brexit, congratulations.
Roll on the 29th March
Singapore has a trade deal with the EU- he is moving to Singapore because England might become rather irrelevant in March. Blue passports and Brexit 50p though,eh?!
The remaoners certainly have salty tears to match their massive propaganda machine. Of course, back in real England, as was shown on Question Time this week, English people are sick of the remoaner lies and deceit, and want to leave on March 29th. Scotland is different. Northern Ireland and Wales are somewhere between. But, in total, we voted to leave.
(It's worth watching just to see how awful Diane Abbott is, just in case you didn't know... Actually, I feel sorry for her because it appears (and I'm being serious here) that for the last couple of years she has been suffering from a neurological disorder and is simple unable to maintain levels of concentration/focus/memory, etc to be in these types of debates. She should, and I say this with real concern for her mental health and knowing how horrible diseases like dementia are (I'm sure many of us have known folks suffering from this range of horrible and dehumanizing diseases), she should be retired - she is unfit to represent herself or constituency.)
As I've stated previously, parliament are struggling with the concept of a referendum result over-riding the standard parliamentary democracy where they can just ignore the wishes of their constituents and focus on themselves and their gravy train. But, that is the reality: the referendum was binding and over-rides normal parliamentary procedure. The democracy was the vote, that was made very clear at the time and in parliamentary procedure. Now, all parties have to respect that, get out of the common market, manage our own laws and immigration, etc.
There is no discussion to be had with the EU at this point. We will remain friendly towards them as well as to the rest of the world. We will not impose any border restrictions in Ireland, if they choose to do so that's their business. We will not impose tariffs on imported goods, if they choose to do so that is their business. We will offer EU citizens currently in the UK permanent residency for free, what they choose to do is their business. We have a lot of money and are willing to part with it once we discuss relations post-March 29th. We wish you all the best, bye bye...
Cycling should be banned!!!
Stop there Betty! That's an untrue statement, whether you knew and said it anyway, or were not aware, I'm not sure, but it is important to pick up on it.
It was not a legally binding referendum and Parliament has acted on the will of the people. However, it has found no benefit and only disadvantages with proceeding with Brexit.
UK High Court judgement see:“a referendum on any topic can only be advisory for the lawmakers in Parliament”.

Stop trying to be tricky, Troy.
The process went like this:
https://publications.parliament.uk/p...onst/44/44.pdf
Then we got to your bit:
So the parliamentary process started and lead to this act:
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/...0170009_en.pdf
The referendum was clear. Exactly how to act article 50 was unclear, so there were legal processes to define it which concluded that it would need to go through the House of Lords & House of Commons in a parliamentary act which it did. Job done. At all stages in the process, at every level of the legal and parliamentary discussions/decisions it was made very clear and repeatedly highlighted that the referendum result must be followed - the only issue was exactly how this could happen under parliamentary process - that was cleared up in the final act, you can see the easy version here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europe...awal)_Act_2017
Your opinion... Not legally related to the legal issue or Acts of Parliament. Your and/or MP's views on the whether they'd like to proceed with Brexit or not are meaningless - the Acts of Parliament are binding.
I repeat, the remoaners are just whinging, they have no legal or parliamentary basis. End of.

This is the notification of Withdrawal, following the referendum and is legally binding. It is not the referendum itself. However, this Act only got through Parliament on the condition that Parliament would have a say on the Withdrawal, (Meaningful Vote), which is where we are now. There is nothing incorrect about new Statutes coming to pass that revoke previous ones. These new statutes do not have to adhere to the result of the referendum, because it was not legally binding.
I am not the one being tricky here Betty.
PM May is still trying to get her Plan A through and can play tricky in order to force no-deal Brexit or her plan. However, that is not a particularly clever course to follow. She is already a dead duck, commanding little respect of her party. It is quite obvious to everyone that Brexit was a mistake and all solutions so far are just silly compromises to satisfy a referendum that can never be satisfied.
