She is banking on the inherent, craven cowardice of the Tory fodder who will do anything to avoid another election including supporting her, and hoping the parliamentary Labour party rump still opposed to Corbyn and the Labour MPs sitting in "leave" constituencies will also vote for the deal when it is confirmed by the EU states and returns to the Commons for a vote.
As I have said before, May is a sclerotic verging on Asperger's syndrome and the only way she will deviate from her path is a successful no-confidence vote which is unlikely given my aforesaid comments. Looking at the likely voting patterns on the forthcoming Commons debate on the deal she cannot win and presumably even she must realise she will have to go - a general election is therefore inevitable.
This is squaring up to be quite a disaster but if hard Brexit is achieved then its goodbye to Airbus, Nissan, BMW, Peugeot and Honda, the entire British road haulier industry and hello to inflation, a £ at $1.10 which means parity for the lumpen hordes, the migration of half a million workers undermining the care industry, the NHS and fuck knows how many construction and agricultural jobs.
I am soooo looking forward to the chaos and the lower end squealing like the little pigs they truly are.

The problem is what happens if or when she does resign or gets booted, and then if it results in a general election, and if that happens whether he delivers or not Corbyn could promise a 2nd vote and the Tories are toast. She started with a great flag waving soundbite, 'no deal is better than a bad deal', and now brandishes the white French flag to insist either this appalling deal or no Brexit, meaning another referendum which according to her is also out of the question. She's boxed herself out of options and trust and has to go, which leaves me and hopefully others wondering if after all the post-Brexit heckling and jeering anyone else could have come away with anything closer to the post-Brexit situation as portrayed before the referendum, against the same powerful negotiating team holding trump cards.

So will it be ref v2, no deal, or as commentators say the worst result in the history of deals? I'm out of guesses, nothing makes sense anymore when even the Belgian could be right.

Government whips have been summoned to Downing Street as it seems very likely now that the Prime Minster will be facing a confidence vote.

I liked this quote from Labour MP Angela Eagle:

'The Conservative Brexiteers were suffering from "premature evacuation" in their efforts to topple Mrs May.'
Meanwhile, Stephen Barclay has been brought forward as the latest sacrificial lamb to head the Brexit department.

So the Gove slimeball remains with the Maybot ...he really should have resigned but he's too much of a slimey turd to do the honours.

Barnier continues to prove what a derived simpleton he really is. By stating that there is no renegotiation on the current deal.
He proves that he has neither read, nor understood the deal currently before parliament.

The fact that much of it is deliberately vague and negotiable serves to remind us just how important the deal is to the survival of the E.U.
That is Mays only chance of survival. Having the commission give a little on a range of issues will enable her to sell the deal to her party and pave the way for parlimentary acceptance.

Standing in the way of that is a no confidence vote against her. The E.U. understands the importance of retaining May to get the job done for them. They will bend further to preserve the best deal they can get with May, in the full knowledge that, any other potential Leader would push harder and end up with no deal. No deal is totally unacceptable to the E.U.

If May has to face a confidence vote and loses, or no deal becomes the only option, all bets are off and the economy nose dives. How many takers for party leader will that scenario produce?

The EU want a remain leader to win this deal, and they will bend over backwards to keep her in office. It gives them the breathing space they need to deal with Italy and the future of E.U. banking.

Quite obviously you haven't read it then.

You really must stop writing such drivel; anyone would think you voted for Brexit because you are demented.

Chas, in much the same way you underestimate your own irrelevance as you dwell ever longer in your geriatric isolation, you seem to overestimate the importance of the UK to the EU which in truth regards the English as inferior in cultural, economic and political terms. Britain is the country turning its clock back fearful of a future in which it must finally dispense with its addiction to nostalgia and join its rightful place in Europe as a composite part of a modern state and not a clapped out post colonial non-entity addicted to debt, welfare and old war movies perpetuating the myth that the Empire can be re-born.
In truth, Chas, you personify the stupidity of the Kipper Brexit loon too dull-brained to comprehend the reality that the English have by their incoherent, reckless and shambolic mytherings over the past two years strengthened the unity of the EU states and re-invigorated their belief in the four freedoms that constitute its ethos and core being.

You is fucked, Britain is fucked and the world is laughing. Get used to it, little man.

Chass, on what planet are you living on ? you English fookers are delusional and dreaming, told you already from the beginning, and you keep going with the same insane dreams and delusion. You guys are not living in reality FFS.

Even Merckel said so, the deal is on the table, there is no further negotiation. FFS, if you don't like the deal, don't take it, end of discussion.

Heard those same comments about Obamacare - don't really matter to us peons, our lovely politicians who we elect to serve, well, they do serve, but, not necessarily "us peons"

Politicians - country don't matter, they all serve themselves, first and foremost, if, by some coincidence their activity benefits you - well, that was their plan.

    Yup, right, you betcha...

But, personally does me good to see that all counties have their partisan identities

Come back when the E.U. have backed down in order to keep May in office and secure the deal that Europe so desperately needs.
Trust me on this, the last thing that Europe wants is no deal and a hard Brexit. The U.K. will get whatever it gets and move on whatever the impact might be.

The E U know that a deal to keep the U.K. in Europe is essential, because they still have serious structural and economic problems to deal with post Brexit.

Butterfly is a childish troll and Troy has some nerve accusing anyone of dementia.

Sort of feel sorry for May. She was handed the task of trying to come up with a plan to satisfy the remainers, brexiteers and the EU. Mission impossible.

The referendum should never have happened.

You clearly live in the past. Your outdated blather really should preclude you from making any comment about what 'we' know, unless you're speaking for OAPs at your local British Legion.
