can anyone name a single tea party or conservative group that lost its tax exempt status in this 'scandal'?

    name just one conservative group.

name just one tea party group.

800 posts on this thread, shouldn't be hard to come up with one, right?

    but you can't, can you?

because there isn't a single tea party or conservative group that lost its tax exempt status.

this is just the latest example of gop/tea party/conservative/independents being pussies and sniveling about how they're mistreated and singled out.

    "oh the liberal media"
    "oh the IRS"

it's little more than perpetual victim-hood.

man the fcuk up and quit crying

Y'all wanna know some of the reasons this IRS Scandal(s) haven't gone further. Look no further than the openly corrupt Attorney General:

Eric Holder Bars Lead Investigator From Testifying Before Congress in IRS Probe

The IRS Conservative Targeting Scandal involved:Despite the uproar the FBI closed the case on the IRS targeting scandal before interviewing a single one of the 292 conservative groups that were targeted.

And now Eric Holder will not allow the lead investigator in the case from testifying before Congress.

    Spin That, Libs!

Just a gentle reminder for those with short-term memory loss..

In 2009, Barack Obama “Joked” About Auditing His Enemies.

When you call your organization some form of "Tea Party" and certify under penalty of perjury that you're not a political organization, you had damned well better be serving hot beverages and crumpets, scones, and small sammiches to grannies for free.

Can anyone give a slightly credible reason as to why the IRS shouldn't have been looking at groups named Tea Party - a distinctly political movement - regarding the facts of their "non-political" organization? We all know damned well they were political organizations, and the IRS was doing their job in trying to keep them from claiming a status they were not entitled to.

If you took deductions for two kids, who don't exist, but were claiming cats were dependent children you can be damned sure the IRS would come down like Thor's hammer. As would be correct.

Not only does the IRS Scandal(s) keep rolling along, the Obama Administration now moves to silence 501(c)(4) Organizations

The “IRS scandal” consists of the fact that the agency targeted Tea Party groups and other identifiably conservative organizations for special scrutiny, denying them tax-exempt 501(c)(4) status in advance of the 2012 election. The tactic worked, as many conservative groups were effectively taken out of action during that election cycle. In the aftermath of the scandal, the Obama administration is moving to institutionalize its discrimination against conservative groups in the form of new IRS regulations defining the political activity in which 501(c)(4) organizations can participate.

    The proposed regulations are here.

You might ask yourself too there charter members of the TDMA why Lois Lerner took the 5th over and over if she didn't have performed corrupt practices?

of course they were only doing their job to stop tax fraud....they also investigated left leaning groups....but you never hear that bit of info in the fright wing media.

because today's republican party is built on victim-hood....sarah palin and ted cruz are professional victims...palin's turned it into a profitable enterprise and cruz is currently laying the groundwork to do the same.

and the rubes on the right just can't seem to figure out that they're being played....again.

thats why there is no scandal boon you just won't admit it.

same goes for Benghazi... fast & furious... etc....etc... etc....

That Bridgegate is superb stuff. The difference between that and Booners' fake scandals is that not only does it have legs, but the truth will come out.

People pleading the 5th all over the place, looking for deals, someone's going to grass the fat slob up.

    Spin this one, Libs!

Email: IRS’s Lerner, Treasury Department secretly drafted new rules to restrict Conservative groups

The Obama administration’s Treasury Department and former IRS official Lois Lerner conspired to draft new 501(c)(4) regulations to restrict the activity of conservative groups in a way that would not be disclosed publicly, according to the House Committee on Ways and Means.

The Treasury Department and Lerner started devising the new rules “off-plan,” meaning that their plans would not be published on the public schedule. They planned the new rules in 2012, while the IRS targeting of conservative groups was in full swing, and not after the scandal broke in order to clarify regulations as the administration has suggested."

But you are spinning it Booners.

The rules were “drafted in a manner, in my view, to shut down tea party groups” Rep. Camp said earlier this week.

it's worse than the example you've given.

if you look at the article he's linked to, this is the actual headline:

Email: IRS’s Lerner, Treasury Department secretly drafted new rules to restrict nonprofits

now compare that to what he posted:

Email: IRS’s Lerner, Treasury Department secretly drafted new rules to restrict Conservative groups

Yes that does indeed say "conservative" groups.....not "non-profit" groups, or any other kind of groups.

However the flat earth Liberals of TD will try find some way to discredit this new IRS chief. The poor bastards will be Googling all night looking for something.... Maybe he had coffee with GW Bush one time....there must be something wrong if he's admitting that they were conservative groups......

more of the same cry-baby BS.

groups on both sides of the ideological divide were checked by the IRS to determine whether they should be getting the tax breaks the were claiming.

and after those checks not a single tea party or republican group lost its tax exempt status.

    not one.

quit playing the perpetual victim and man the fcuk up.

Truth be told, many of the groups that take advantage of tax exempt status absolutely do not warrant it. They are nowt more than political wolves in shabby sheepskin, taking advantage of a lax system as people will invariably do. Not just a dig at the rightside btw. But heck, whats new- just look at Panamanian "charitable" foundations, etc.

Exactly this tax exemption should be stopped but the fact is that Republicans will fight tooth and nail to keep these groups tax exempt status as they are the ones who primarily benefit from them.

It is also pretty simple to understand since the overwhelming majority of these groups are Republican that they would be the most investigated.

IRS smoking gun uncovered by House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp

Feb. 6, 2014, Fairfax, Va.—Americans for Limited Government President Nathan Mehrens today issued the following statement calling attention to documents uncovered by House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Rep. Dave Camp proving that the proposed IRS regulations against 501(c)(4)s were planned while the targeting of the tea party was ongoing, and not in response to that scandal in 2013 as the Obama administration has contended:

“President Obama can no longer hide behind his seemingly perpetual state of confusion over what is happening in his administration, as records now clearly show. The 2012 email released by Chairman Camp proves that the new IRS regulation restricting 501(c)(4) organizations’ political speech was not in response to the scandal targeting the tea party or any confusion about what (c)(4) regulations mean, but was devised well in advance.

“The IRS had a long-term plan to use its power to intimidate and stop small conservative groups from participating in the political process using the same tax-exempt status as groups like Sierra Club and the League of Conservation Voters that publish voter guides.
“Congress can no longer stand idly assuming good will from this administration and it must use its power of the purse including any extension of the debt ceiling to expressly prohibit the implementation of these new IRS rules designed to squelch First Amendment rights of Obama’s political opponents.”

^ Hmmm, nothing there linking the White House to the IRS.

And yes, with the passage of Citizens United that makes corporations "people" the IRS knew they had to get ready for a bunch of Tea Party groups to try and misuse their tax exempt status to engage in political activities.

Of course it's all moot since there isn't a single tea party or conservative group that lost its tax exempt status. (and that, imo is the real scandal).
Smoking gun? More like a a smoking pile of bullshit...
