English tv in Nong khai ?

Hi If i buy a tv in Nong khai this year , whats the chance of me watching some english programmes . Are there boxes you can buy on the end of a big dish or can you go through a computer ?

You can use Expat Shield (or slightly more complicated, Your Freedom) to watch BBC iPlayer, 4OD, etc. God knows why you'd want to though. Football is generally available online, too.

i got true installed in vientaine box and dish fully installed was about 15000 baht i went for the platinum card package but it doesnt give you all that much more than the gold card just more cartoons for the kids forget what it costs per month now but usually just top it up 3 months at a time , pretty sure its pirated from Thailand but could be wrong there , anyway the guys called mr sattellite had a few mates deal with him and seems straight enough PM me when you arrive

Doesn't Takky have a big stake in True? And he's one of Hun Sens best mates - more likely a local liscensing deal

From what i can gather they duck over to nongkhai to register/activate the card , Dunno what deals takkys got going on with hun sen but thats cambodia im in vientiane just across the river from nongkhai

Agree 100% that True are morons but do check you can get Astra that far North - if I remember right it will not be a good signal - ask JSat
