The 1.5 turbo diesels can make good power, our maz 2 races car are putting down 160hp and 340nm of torque to the wheels.

Ive hacked mine so I could get android auto working so that I can mirror my phone.

That 15k i spent on that shitty sat nav in there was a waste of dough. It doesnt show you where any congestion is thensuggest other routes like google maps does.

That aint android auto.

Android auto basically lets use use maps/media/communication/voice activation.


What that Thai has is a plug and play Android box.

I've decided on the CX3 as mostly it just looks nicer and slightly higher.

Now the big question -

Do I go for the SP Model with all the radar and city braking, blind spot monitoring etc or is this just more to go wrong?

The P model, which is only 70k cheaper is the same inside and out apart from all the sensor stuff.

if youre paying on finance the extra 70 k wont hurt and it'll be worth more second hand.

youre gonna have a conundrum soon when they ask you for 18,000 baht(what the dealer told the missus the price is going up to from 15k) for the SD card for the sat nav.

i'd advise you not to do it, get a suction cup for your phone and use google maps which is far better.

Good choice. As far as which model to buy, that is just personal preference.

ive been looking at a cx3 as a car to use in the uk, but after reading autocars road test have probably decided against it. the pricing may be more competitive in thailand, but the uk has a much larger choice of models in this segment, and most of them offer better value.

the test makes interesting reading.

here is the conclusion.

Among the profusion of supermini-sized pseudo-SUVs vying for your money, launching one that isn’t either very good, very desirable, very practical, very different or very cheap is becoming a bad idea.

That, in a nutshell, is what Mazda has done with the CX-3. Now is the time to launch a car such as this, without a shadow of doubt, but no longer will any car do.

Mazda could have really gone after the Nissan Juke with the CX-3. It's an opportunity missed, if you ask me.

Every rival in our top five has a more powerful selling point than the CX-3, be it value, space, design appeal, usefulness, unlikely dynamism or, in some cases, a mix of several of the above.

The hook we were expecting from Mazda has failed to materialise. Broadly speaking, the CX-3 handles as well as plenty of rivals, from a Citroën C4 Cactus to a Mini Countryman.

But, in diesel form at least, it’s well below par for what ought to be one of the class’s more polished dynamic efforts. Strong performance and economy goes some way to compensate, but not far enough for us.

For others, the car’s undistinguished practicality and ambitious price may be the real letdowns.

End of the day the CX3 is nothing more than a jacked up Mazda 2 !!

I disagree and think the CX3 is a great choice in Thailand. The rest in the same class seem pretty blah here.

Just reporting that the CX3 is an excellent drive, I love it!

0% over 4 years is great. 1,050,000 ish is a real bargain for this car. Sports mode is wonderful!

I think! the CX 3 is one of the nicer looking cars on the road, especially in the price range it is in, wife has a CX 5, can't fault it.

I bought the 3 rather than the 5 as it looks nicer. Mind you, the new 5 is much nicer than the old one.

Yw. My car says can use but mileage is not as good as 95 octane gasoline. Maybe my imagination but perfirmance seems better than gasohol.

Would probably have bought the 3 but it hadn't been released at the time.
