Also just based on the fact that he got up and was only slightly injured suggests he took the best possible evading action, he couldn't go left as that would have put him in the path of the car and the wall, no time to swerve right and not the best direction anyways with the possibility of oncoming traffic or hitting her head on if she did stop, he did all he could, cars fault from start to finish. Props to the rider.

That vid shows why- no matter how good a rider you are (or think you are)- you always need to gear up, as even a simple suburban setting is fraught with potential hazards for a motorcyclist.

In the States, a car tuning left in front of a biker (equivalent to one turning right in a country where traffic flows on the left side of the road) is a leading cause of motorcycle accidents, and it's a difficult thing against which to defend- I'd guess it's what takes out a lot of riders in other countries as well.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

You have to lucky some times, on Sundays it was our habit to go to Bira for a day playing bike racer, on this occasion we were going to Bira and traveling down suk 63 at a moderate speed. When out of the Shell garage pulls and old Mercedes. right in front of my mate duke 996, straight into he goes.
Luckily he has full leathers because he sustained serious injures and luckily the Mercedes driver had full Merc insurance.
6 weeks in hospital don't come cheap.
Even tho it was quite and old car.
Mercedes insurance even paid for a new Dianese race suit.

Speed aside (assume they were travelling at the speed limit, whatever that was), on the video the car started to pull out around two seconds before the impact, yet the bike didn't seem to slow, change course or anything.

Yes the car was in the wrong but - if the rider had even noticed the car waiting to turn right - it seems he had simply assumed that the car had also noticed him and so he had turned his attention elsewhere.
If you watch the first bit of the vid, from the victims camera, he had roughly one second from the time the car crossed the double white line until he hit it. Simple physics really- If he was traveling at 30mph it means he's going 45 feet per second and hitting the brakes one second before impact, there's is no way he could avoid hitting that car...

Here's the crash again in slow motion- note how quickly the rider gets on the brakes- pretty good reflexes imo, and he was able to scrub off a lot of speed but still couldn't avoid the collision:

That cyclist must have worked as a professional acrobat. Veers away slightly prior to impact and then somersaults over the rear end of the car landing on his feet before his forward motion sent him to ground. Appears slightly annoyed that he only received an average of 6.2 from the judges.

^ Vague memories recall being told to aim for the door pillar in situations like this.
Come the event though, it's not something that comes natural so I agree he did well.

Quick reaction on the bike rider but very poor judgement on the car driver. I bet the insurance companies just love dash cams!

Here, check this out a few days ago..I can't post the video but here's the link, this guy jumps up and does multiple flips over the car that turns in front of him and gets just a scratch. Not sure why he sees fit to get up and parade around in the middle of the intersection afterwards he must think he's somehow invincible now and lucky someone didn't come along and finish the job he was fortunate enough to avoid.
Bollocks! forgot the link, here it is..
