    Scooter for the Old Guy

I know all sorts of abuse is coming but I'm seriously considering buying a new Honda Forza 300.

Why would you want but a girlie man bike you ask? I want a comfortable, medium power machine with plenty of storage space and comfort for a pillion rider.

I live in the sticks. Roads are great but drive to Roiet City is about 25k. Too far and too uncomfortable for me on a Honda Wave. As alternative to driving the car every time I need something this seems the ticket.

Been a few years since I had a machine to jump on and enjoy a good day cruise. I've got the bug again.

The Honda dealer here has one which he let me take for a short spin around town. I was impressed with it's comfort, handling, ergonomic design and plentiful storage space.

Quoted me 165k baht. Want a black one so 3 week delivery. Red or white available now.

A short spin around town is fine but if anyone has one or knows someone who does would appreciate feedback.

Looks nice, but you should get the red one, the red ones always go faster.

165,000 baht, is it second hand? I thought they were 350,000 for a new one.

If you want a slightly bigger scooter type thing, and sticking with Honda, why don't you get a PCX150 for only 69,800?

    Made here now.

Norton years ago when the style first came out my closest friend living in SF bought one. A woman none the less. The thing was a gas, up and down the hills of the city. Easy across the bridges to get up north or to the east bay. Not a cruiser, but your butt will not be bruised after a long comfortable ride. The thing is going to be a conversation piece when you first get it though.

My only issue with it is the price. For that kind of money I'd rather buy a second-hand R6/1 etc. (although I'm concious that's not the point in this case).

15 years ago would have been an option. I won't be doing a Rossi knee drag around corners.

More skin on the road means a safer ride.

Those skinny tyres on the wave are dangerous particularly on dusty loose roads.

I have been looking at the same bike mate.

Good point. Not sure why but the roads in my vicinity are extremely well maintained. Something I take into account.

Many foreigners in Khon Kaen seem to agree with you, I see quite a few old-timers whizzing around kk on pcx recently.

I hate red vehicles but on something small bright colours are good for a bit more security you will be seen. Isn't that how most bike accidents happen .. "I never saw him."
