I had it done a couple of years ago on the NHS. Most painful part was the surgeon jabbing my balls with a scalpel to see if the anaesthetic was working. For the next week afterwards I occasionally felt a little twinge if I moved suddenly. (if the wife is reading I'm just being brave, I really needed waiting on hand and foot for a week, honest). It was a bit strange this fit young bird holding my cock out of the way while the surgeon did his bit.

They did say to avoid sex for a few days but I think I was keen to check it all still worked. Then you have to have sex every day for a month to clear the tubes before the checkup a blowjob is the best option for this)

A friend did it and had an inflammation next day...

Went back to the doc that told him, all normal, will pass.

Then next day it all got huge and very painful went to consult another doc that kept him back in hospital, got a very bad infection...

Now few years after all ok, but it was like 10 to 15 days of problems for the guy.

Had it done 30 years ago, in & out about 1/2 hr. No problems and a great selling point with most women.

My 35 year old son inlaw was being pressured by my daughter to get it done after my daughter gave birth successfully to their third child.
I advised him against that in case their marriage ever fell over as a new partner may want to have a child by him.
My daughter I felt having had three was unlikely to want anymore even if she remarried.
I had it done myself though after my first wife had given birth to two healthy daughters and gone through three miscarriages plus we had lost our young baby son at 8 months.
At age 40 I considered that I had done enough damage.Since then I was happy to take on board my wives kids as my own.
No pain to speak off just the memory of my gloating physician before they put me out telling me it was about time.

Had it done 24 (?) years ago. Didn’t hurt but afterwards there is a very little discomfort when you are about to get off for about six months. It’s like you are building up pressure in the area where he cut and tied and there is no relief valve. That sensation will go away in time.

I highly recommend it. Had it done about 10 years ago.

Couple of things. Firstly the procedure is painless and is outpatient. Takes about 2 hrs. Not sure about here but in US they have 2 options now. One they snip and suture (99% and reversible). The other is they actually cut out a section of tube and quickly cauterize(100% and not reversible).

Now lets be clear here. We are talking a micro surgery incision and small tubes. This is not a guy with a hatchet whackin at your nut sack. Here is the key. There is no pain. You need to go home and rest for at least 24 hours. Do not lift anything. If you do not adhere to these rules your "Fella's" will swell up big and it will take a week or so to go down. It is easy to forget as their is no pain. I have known a few that ignored the advice and they paid for it. I rested comfortably. I recommend using frozen peas in bags at your local store. They conform easily and a lot better then ice. I had 2 and rotated them as required. Most doctors require you nut 25 times and bring in the last sample and they will clear you.Thats is the fun part...25 times. Make your missus work it out. Tell her it needs to happen fast, doctor said so. Anyone thinking they can go off and "shoot" their gun a week or so after are silly and probably risk a accident.

On the plus side it is the best thing I ever personally did and the sex got even better. Probably "the know worry" part. Plus I did not want to be a father after 40 for any reason. The larger benefit as we all know it is easy to succumb to the "I want a baby now" pressure and when you are fixed, you are done.

Had it done in 1974 after the bith of son number 2 made me think that I'd contributed enough to the world's population growth.

Two doctors in attendance, one to observe and one to do the job. I had a local anaesthetic and the doctors proceeded to chat about the rugby league while waiting for the local to take effect. The one doing the job had done a fitness test that morning on one of the City players for the City v Country game and had decided that the player was not fit enough to play. I'm listening to all this and wondering when he's going to get started.

When he eventually did start, the local had worn off a bit and it was like some monkey grabbing my balls and squeezing!

Anyhow, job done and the doctor said that if there was any pain the next day, get the chemist to telephone him and he'd prescribe something over the phone.

Next day, it's like elephant's balls so I waddled up to the chemist, got him to ring the doctor, got the prescription, and took it there and then, in the chemist's shop. Almost instant relief and back to work.

    No problems since.

The procedure can be reversed if within a few years; after that the scarring tends to make it unlikely to succeed

however, they can always extract sperm from the testicle area with a needle and use it to fertilise the partners egg. IVF can be prolonged and expensive though, and not always successful

a good book to read, for both wishful parents

I had it done 12 years ago after our 3rd son. Wife did not fancy the chance of 4 boys.
Done in a Rangsit hospital, not too many problems. Well worth the effort.

Sounds like the Australian Aboriginal method..... slice the urethra tube at the base of the penis with a sharp stone, so when you blow it's shot on the ground.
And you can sit down to piss...
