Did becoming a blood donor get you over the needle phobia Ice Maiden ?
It has helped me a lot.

I'm not bothered about giving blood at all now I just get a tad nervous beforehand but I think thats natural really. However I still dislike being injected in my upperarm for some reason that really frightens me still but only in time will I get over that.

There's a chance for me too. Well maybe

Dunno what I have said said to end up on Macha's ignore list, but could someone please tell him that in post #48 I stated that I have O Rh+, and willing donate to anyone urgently needing a transfusion.........

But, as I stated earlier, it is people with O Rh- who need to take precausions - they can only receive from people of the same blood type, and it is rare. There are plenty of O Rh+ people around. Don;t let that stop you from donating, though.......
Any error in tact, fact or spelling is purely due to transmissional errors...

You mean you got O-? The contact number's up there in Marmite's post.

I know a guy who's O- but he's in the south. Anyway, I'll contact him now.

Then you don't have to send it anywhere Doc. You'll be asked to donate at certain location if the need may arise.

Cos I already gave an urgent call for O- (someone asked me what does it stand for). I'm sure the guy will step forward as soon as he notices the call.

Macha, a "smiley" does not necessarily indicate that you have understood anything. Even halfwits have been known to put a smiley at the end of their posts.

I don't have a clue what blood type I am........ and haven't been to the doctors for a long time, ....but will make it my duty to find out mext time I visit *hopes it isn't any time soon* - but put me on the list if you like...

I've switched to red wine lately, and even my poo is red so I'm pretty sure my blood is too.....
