Thread: Coffee drinking protocol

Over the years I've had the occasional 'cafe lawn' a la Thai at a sidewalk table and I've always been a bit embarrassed by my ignorance of the protocol involved.

What am I supposed to do with the second glass of hot water?

Seems odd to me that i'll have a mouthful of extra-extra strong coffee at the beginning but when I near the end it will be weak as milky tea.

Who can assist me here chaps and chappettes?

A large Doner Kebab with extra peppers and garlic/spicy sauce combo, topped off with a large black coffee and two LM Red is the best base if you feel the urge to burp somebody in the face.

Ditto here. Think of the coffee as the meal and the green tea as the dessert which cleans your palate. It cuts through the coffee after-taste and leaves you both refreshed and seriously caffeinated.

Green tea is seriously minging, in the Ming dynasty sense.

its to drink a mouthful or two afterwards not to water down your coffee!

As I drink my coffee I have been adding the water (tea?) to my first glass, thereby diluting it!

Do you mean just chilis or is it chopped chilis with nam pla and chopped red onions etc.

I got my meal last week and I must have had 20 chillies (no f***ing garlic mind!!) on their own in a little bowl.

Now I don't know about you Frisco but I can't eat anywhere near that many of them.

How many are you eating?
