English Restaurant in Naklua - Buttsy's

I had to go into Naklua today to sort out some stuff and decided to stop off at Buttsy's English Restaurant, hmmm, bit of a weird name that one, it's quite near the Dolphin roundabout in North Pattaya, I think he has been there a long time, a sort of last hold out for English people in Naklua as the German and Austrian restaurants take over.

They supposedly make their own home made pies but obviously i wanted a sandwich, bit of a stupid place to goto really for a sandwich as they are going to use English style bread when Pattaya now has so much choice in breads, lack of forethought on my part.

Anyway they do all the traditional English food, fish and chips and that, also have some northern stuff, ie black pudding and mushy peas

My chip butty at 60 baht was a bargain

Is that bit of salad to make it more esthetically pleasing for the picture?

    Bloody heathen !!

A traditional proper UK style "chip butty" does not at any time or place contain "FRIES"

    OK Smart arse!
    Give us some reasons !!

Before you do though may I suggest you try-

Lava bread with crispy bacon and oatmeal
    Shrewsbury lamb steak
    Star Gazy pie
    A West Midlands Klondyke
    Jellied eels and mash poatoes
    Beef and oyster casserole

    And state your nationality

    OK?

PS I forgot No 39 from the Chinese takeaway in Stanmore High Street !(with chips - no rice!)

Cooking for hours until you're really, really sure it is dead, killed, gone and destructed isn't my way.

    Does this look edible?

And, my nationality has been stated several times on the forum. Can't say that I go for Swedish food either.
Serious cooking can't be left to women.

Happyman - you got to look at comments like BosseO's the other way. Because he & others are too blinkered to even try our national fare, that leaves far more for the likes of you & I to enjoy!
Long may they continue to insult it without even trying it, I say...

Doubt this will make my must-go list either, that lettuce has sure seen better days.

Is that a little fly on one of your chips, second one in from the tomatoes?

I don't generally eat lettuce and stuff like that so it may as well have been a plastic decorative thing for all I care, and no, it wasn't a fly, actually the place has a pretty good menu.
