    Concrete "garden"

I don't know if just my wife is a bit crazy or if she has much more foresight than most thais, but she had concrete poured almost all over the 100 square wah we have outside.
We just have a few mango and papaya tress at the fence and flowers in flower pots.
I understand the concrete is a good idea because of that red dust everywhere in Isaan and the water puring down at monsoon time, but it has a certain ghetto style feeling.
It makes gardening easy though and I am not really into gardening.

Concrete is always a decent idea in climates where gardens can become wild in next to no time and there is no keen gardener to hand.........

Damn handy for storing MkIII Cortina engine & gearbox combos on too, although a rutted front lawn does just as well.

horrible!! maybe can lay bricks over the area near the house, nicer for sitting on.

Punch a few holes in it and put trees in for shade (take a while to grow)

or a bigger hole for a pool?

It's too small for a pool and which sane mind would like to sit out there before sundown?
There are some trees at the side of the estate but those are just young mango and papaya trees.

I like this idea. Maybe you have a brother-in-law that needs a place to set up his motosai shop? Even batter! That way there will never be a shortage of guys wanting to cadge a drink, or two, off you.
