What about growing olives? Does anyone know if this is possible and where to get seeds / cuttings from?

might get too hot or not enough of a cold season...
also olives best grow on hilly terrain of vulcanic origin

don't know where both of said conditions can be found in TH

we have just grown a lot of lemongrass and chillies in Portugal, as well as the local stuff

Olives like hot, dry conditions, obviously, and thrive in most soils (mine is basically mudstone) as long as they get water in the winter, the growing season

my wife has dried out lots of Gallia melon seeds to grow in Thailand

it is true, a lot of the veggie seeds available are not very good quality. The new varieties cost more, maybe double, so Thais are reluctant to use them, very short-sighted
    I have reported your post

    ok

So what can you grown in Thailand?

    Carrots? to hot?
Potatos? Where did you buy the once for growing?
    Strawberry? To hot?
Pomelo and Melon must go as well as Banana

    Anything else?

    This year we had:

    Sweetcorn
    Spring onion
    Basil
    Thai Basil
    Corriander
    Mint
    Tomatoes
    carrots
    Egg plant
    Chilli
and a few other things that I cant remember the names of. It does help of course to have an almost identical climate of Thailand

A few months ago I told the wife to enter it in the gardening section of our local show but she refused because she thought it was to messy. It was of course being a typical thai garden with stuff growing everywhere but I entered it without her knowing and she got first place!
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.

^Don't egg plants look great when the fruit comes. The plant looks pretty weedy and small and these beautiful big eggplants grow from them.

I never wanted to eat them because they were so beautiful.

Yeah they are beautiful, we had both those long dildo looking things and the small tennis ball ones as well. Great colours.
