    Coconut Tree Infestation

We have both the black head caterpillar and the rhinoceros beetle doing our coconut trees in... Worse than that, is when we go to the Thai ag people, they have no recommendations for eradication and tell us to check the Internet... Well, duh, that's what I did and I found some purported effective measures against the black heads: Control of coconut black-headed caterpillar (Opisina arenosella Walker) by systemic application of ‘Soluneem’ – A new water-soluble neem insecticide formulation ... Anybody have any experience with Suluneem or similar?

Yeah, now that I've updated my profile, I want to throw this out again to see if any of you have experience with fighting coconut tree infestations... I hear that monocrotophos has seen positive effect in India and the Phillipines.

great news but no info on how to get any of this !! I got powder; for rino beetles in Bali where they tested and saved allot oftrees. For dead trees or those dying. you have to let this solution drip in the crown to get to the top where the beetles have larvae. NOT ez and I"m not a 100' coconut climber to get totthe top. Must be some pole, rod, tube to have a slow drip line to the top. Even 10 meters trees is chore to get up there. The base cure is ok for live trees but does not help those already dead or on their way out.
hope to hear more of cures to spread all over on live trees and where to get it.

    coconut killler

    many trees dying with beetles.
Got some fungus in Bali to spray on bottom but have to get to crown to kill them and let this drip from the top. NOT ez on 10-20meter trees. Rhino and other beetles inside.

Any other preventative to spray on trees and where to get locally ?
