    Revolutionary graffiti in Egypt

It is not uncommon that some of the most striking graffiti ends up being painted over. This one depicts ousted president Hosni Mubarak surrounded by his officials. Who sprayed it over remains an unanswered question.

Kolo Toure handed six-month ban for failed drugs test

Manchester City defender Kolo Toure will miss the start of next season after being handed a six-month ban from all football for failing a drugs test.
The ban is back-dated to 2 March, when Toure's provisional suspension began.
He is free to play from 2 September, but will also be target-tested for a period of two years from 26 May.

"This has been a difficult period, and I am sad to have missed the team's triumph of securing Champions League football and the FA Cup," Toure said.

"But I am relieved that I will be able to return to football in September and thank the FA's commission for their understanding."

An independent regulatory commission, which could have issued anything from a warning to a two-year ban by way of punishment, reached the verdict after a hearing on Thursday.

Toure admitted the offence - his first - contrary to Regulation 3 of the FA Doping Regulations 2010-11. But the panel took into consideration the circumstances behind his use of water tablets belonging to his wife.

Final suspect convicted of JFK airport plot in New York

A former leader of the Shia Muslim community in Trinidad has been convicted of taking part in a failed plot to blow up fuel tanks and pipelines at JFK airport in New York.

Kareem Ibrahim was convicted of five conspiracy counts in the plot, which officials say was meant to outdo 9/11.

Russell Defreitas and Abdul Kadir are serving life sentences after also being convicted for their roles.

Ibrahim, 65, also faces life in prison. His sentencing is due on 21 October.

Prosecutors said the men had wanted to kill thousands in New York and shake the US economy by blowing up fuel tanks and pipelines that run under a neighbourhood near the airport.

The scheme was uncovered when an informant recorded a discussion about the planned attack between Kadir and Defreitas, who began preparations for the attack in 2006.

Defreitas, a 68-year-old former cargo handler, and Kadir, a former member of Guyana's parliament, were convicted on conspiracy charges in August 2010.

Angela Hoyt murder: Hunt for ex-boyfriend Martin Collett

A nationwide hunt has begun for a man wanted in connection with the murder of a woman in Hertfordshire.

The body of 34-year-old Red Cross worker Angela Hoyt was found at her house in Hatfield on Tuesday.

Police were called to the address in Glebeland following concerns raised by Ms Hoyt's family. She is thought to have died between 22 and 24 May.

Hertfordshire Police said Ms Hoyt's ex-boyfriend Martin Collett, 35, is wanted in connection with her murder.

Police believe Mr Collett has connections in a number of places including Southampton, Bristol and Stratford-upon-Avon, but could be anywhere in the country.

Det Ch Insp Mark Ross said: "Officers urgently want to trace Mr Collett but I would like to reassure members of the public that we do not believe he is a threat to anyone.

Angela Hoyt had been working for the Red Cross in Pakistan
