Well done all of you. I really enjoyed following the competition, kudos all round!

Tough decision but in the end I voted for Cakie. Her design seemed to me to best cover the customer's profile, both inside and out. I like Nawty's floorplan the best, and Split's exterior design was the most 'iconic', followed closely by Humbie's. Split's roof is a real eye-catcher, and Humbie's juxtaposing the two floors really looked nice. Cakie's entry looks iconic outside and 'feels' warm inside. She's my pick!

For anybody with a slow connection or in a hurry in the thread Humbert linked the pics are at:
    Humbert page 3
Nawty Page 7 and elevation at page 10
    Splitlid page 8 & 9
    Mooncake Page 9

I voted for Humbert's entry. I like the offset upper and lower floors for a modern contemporary couple, it looks really funky, but as Shunpike said it was a very tough choice because all the entries were so nice. Bonus points to Nawty for using 'living loom' and 'crapper'!

Splitlid's loofs are way cool and mooncake's layout is is very nice, especially the upper garden deck.

Congrats to all for a really interesting thread and cool for the good doctor to throw in a prize. Whoever wins it will be well deserved.

Definitely good work all around making for a hard decision. After looking at all designs I chose Cupcake for the interesting multi-use of the upper floor and layout on main.

Have to agree with that, only 12 votes so far despite all the good work and efforts by you and the other entrants.

Poll closes 4pm on Friday the 11th of December.
Yes, I agree, 12 votes is troubling and indicates a lack of interest. I think we will need to have more sex, backbiting, insults and nation baiting to attract more people.
It would also be nice if more designers participated but there are just not that many out there, after all, it's not a commonplace skill.
We should wait a very long time before contemplating having another round.

I'll see what I can do when I've got all the required info.

Maybe a couple of bottles of the good stuff to the winner.

The AOTY comp worked out OK.
