    Butting QCon To Normal Blocks

I am planning to build a 2 storey house with the outside walls being AAC blocks Qcon or CPAC. As I am on a very tight budget I figure that I will do all the inside walls using cheaper blocks. Will I have any problems where the cheaper blocks but up against the AAC blocks as the AAC blocks require special mortar?

    Cheers

Why not just make it a cavity wall?

Yes thinking of making the ourside walls a cavity of two qcon blocks 7.5cm wide, with a gap of 5cm this will make the concrete columns inside the house invisible but I still have to but normal blocks up to the Qcon. I do not really want the inside cavity wall normal concrete block.

    Cheers

Your inner wall blocks should meet up with concrete posts not the outside wall most of the time, just use rebar to tie them together, also both mortars are cement based so shouldn't be a problem.

    Ah, all is clear now!

You would have no problem in butting up the normal to the QCON, and rendering the QCON with their special stuff, and the normal with normal stuff

    Cheers Guys

Forgive me for not making myself clear.

This is what I meant in pictures

Two Qcon/Cpac Blocks | | each 7.5mm thick with a cavity of 5mm making the wall of the house 20mm thick, this should hide the column/s ** that traditionally appear on the inside

The single interior walls ____ I am planning to use normal concrete blocks to save money.

The area where they join is what I'm worried about |_____
