Now the Thai bum guns are great things when they actually work and a much better idea than smearing poo up and down your crack with tissue paper, probably helps people stop getting piles as well, have to question sbk on his toilet habits but he sounds like a poo smearer.
Anyway I actually forgot my golden rule in never getting involved in buying or supplying bum guns, the reason for this is that most of them are shite, ie they don't work or they leak, so whats a reasonable price for fitting a bum gun? It is just two drill holes and connecting up the pipe, lets say 200baht, now that don't sound too bad for the builder for half an hours work does it, so lets have a look at todays bum gun installation.
Off we went to the homemart to buy all the bathroom fittings, ok there was towel rails and things, probably took a couple of hours and say 100baht in petrol, not too bad though as we charge for fitting each item so it's looking good, quite a few items to fit, we find suprisingly that the bum gun is foked, normally the worse that happens is they just leak, but this one the nut that connects to the pipe was completely broken off, so lets say if things worked out perfectly I would have made say 150baht for fitting the bum sprayer, but now of course I have to take it back to the shop and get it replaced, more time, more petrol, etc, I am on a loser straight a way, so off I toddle back to homemart and we start going through their stock, the first 4 bum sprays of the same make were broke before the box was even opened, yep looking through the back of the packet you could see that the nut was not connected, obviously homemarts staff were quite happy if I took one of these, but another broken one wouldn't sort out my problem, ie the customer wants a bum gun that works, eventually they gave me one that looks like it might work, yes that was another hour in there and another load of petrol, the moral of the story is if you are a builder or contractor tell the customer to fit his own poxy bum spray....
