    ^ Actually a Mrs.

Just had the same problem and someone explained why my pump was coming on all day and night when no water was in use. It was driving me crazy. It started out a small problem, then over the next month or so got too big and I had to call plumbers to check out the lines and isolate the leak.

    couple of points

    1. Have you checked all your toilet cistern valves?
    2. a stethoscope is better than a screw driver, you are looking for water leaks not failed bearings, a stethoscope has better frequency response for leaks.

Is the swimming pool top up connected to the water main? Is the swimming pool overflowing?

I think Itnt may have something here. However, you may concider trying the glass open side up and fill it full of your favorite wiskey on ice. After a glass or two the problem may not be of great importance and life may feel less burdoning and quite enjoyable. This fix however fleeting will be followed by a hangover only to the realization that nothing has changed.

Dig a well and bypass having to pay a water bill once you shut off the common water line. There will be about a 5 baht charge to be hooked up to the common line, but still better than the high rates you are now paying.
