You're holding it wrong.
So far, I have found my iPhone to be perfect.
Ya just gotta learn how to use it.
Defo not a phone for retards or backward cretins.
^ it's not a phone FFS, it's an apple
another annoying feature, the mail client, setting up is complete apple non-sense as usual,
try to setup a corporate email with secure parameters and it's a fucking mess,
as usual, apple make a lot of assumptions so if your mail server pop or imap is not the same address as your email domain name, then the system is all confused and ask you all kind of silly questions after it fails to try all the wrong thing. Of course those settings only appear once in the discovery process, and then you can't access the parameters again, they are lost or hidden because as a user you are not allowed to see how it works or use an admin feature too complex to comprehend for your average itard
actually i found it easier to set up mail than with the blackberry
for basic setup, that does it, but like I said, as soon as you want to go "pro" it doesn't follow
took me about 30min to setup one proprietary account with their non-sense,
Exactly. The ipod touch is an amazing piece of kit, I use it for all sorts of things but if I want to use a phone I use my phone.Originally Posted by Gerbil
I'm still on Blackberry but I'll need to get an iPhone soon. I don't like the design of the iphone 4 but I've messed around with them and the basic functions like typing and navigation speed are greatly improved over the 3gs which I still find it hard to type on and a bit slow. I've got no idea about the more in depth stuff yet. I would have preferred it if they'd kept the old design but upgraded all of the firmware.
Butters has become the thing he hates the most. A mactard. Its always been on the cards though, its like when someone you know is an obvious shirt lifter but all the time they moan about them.
^ ok for the second corporate email, it took me about 1 min
but the first time, it was a disaster, I mean FFS, what kind of retard designed the logic behind those interfaces, it's obvious they are trying to "proprietarize" everything and are not following recommended settings that everyone else is using. They are just trying to be different in a cute retard kind of way. Delusional.
anyway, it works now.
not sure if mentioned before, but after doing a bit of research, it seems that is impossible on the iPhone to import your SIM card SMS !!! are they fucking real ??? oh, and guess what ? SMS under the iPhone can't be saved on the SIM, it's incompatible !!! what else is new in apple world ? wankers !!!
Why you want to save your SMS?
What the purpose?
indeed, barra, the import SMS being impossible is a big fucking mess, I mean what kind of phone maker manage to "ignore" that feature is beyond me. The good news is they have the "import SIM contacts" since iOS 4.01 !!!
upgraded to iOS 4.1 and so far ok,
You're holding it wrong.
Anyway, thanks to the Chinese you don't need to waste money on the poxy iPhone any more..
Apple Peel
^ it's still a proto, and knowing Chinese quality, it will make your iPod Touch explodes faster than a first generation iPhone
Hardly a prototype.
But you're right. Even if you only have an iPod you're still aAlthough the Apple Peel 520 has been out in China for a while, the case is set to debut in the west after GoSolarUSA announced it would be manufacturing the product for the American market.
'ard.
No bluetooth?
How you meant to swap porn down the boozer?
Not every piece of information I receive in SMS's I want to save to contacts or address book. Just because you seem to use SMS only for inane pub chat doesn't mean everyone else does.
As an example I keep things like electricity and phone bill payment SMS receipts, to check against the paper version when it comes in.
^ exactly barra, same with me. I received my login/password for WIFI etc... and couldn't retrieve it out of the fucking iPhone. I had to switch phone, can you believe that shit ?
yesterday I struggled with iTunes again to backup the apps, what a fucking nightmare that was. The UI must have been designed by monkeys.
Just save to phone memory. duh.
SMS receipts? Only ones I get is either a credit card transaction and money transfer notifications.
with the iPhone, you can't save SMS to SIM memory, why would I want to save specifically to iPhone memory ? that's the default, you tard. The point is you can't transport that memory like you would on SIM
Then Butterfly you got the wrong fackin phone for your sole purpose of saving junk specifically to sim card.
Suggest you get a phone that utilises a micro SD card and use that to store SMS & transport to other portable devices to your heart content.
You simply cannot buy a phone and expect it to do everything to your personal needs.
Phone have to satisfy a broad band of consumers.
So one silly dude harping on about not being able to save SMS to SIM will simply get ignored.
