2 stroke Yamaha TZM - pretty much giving it away.

I've come into (not literally) an 2 stroke TZM 150cc that I've no time for. I've had it about 6 months and driven it about 4 times - great fun, zippy as hell.

It has some slight front faring damage from a small drop, brand new chain and sproket, good tyres, probably needs a carb clean... would need a full service (and some TLC)...

Haven't had the time to care of it and haven't taken it out for probably 3 or 4 months so the battery's dead too.

Is 1994 with green book, tax and insurance for last year but not this year.

If you're into a nice zippy 2 stroke, have time to give it some life, giz a shout.

I dunno how much, but not much, I just don't need the bike and is a shame to leave it get closer and closer to dying...

    Bangkok.

This is it before sitting outside a condo for 6 months (plus a small 10 kph drop - so some front faring damage - not much tho). Throw on a bit of nuts and bolt rust, a dead battery, an engine in need of a good service and a flat-ish front tyre etc.

Bloody good fun to drive though. Not too much effort could get it back to this. I just don't have the time or energy, didn't even start it for 3 months .

It started about 2 weeks ago, then not last week so guess the battery's dead. Got new chain and sprokets (plus some mirrors) just before the 3 months of leaving it sit idle.

Damn, I just bought a bike about a month ago, was looking for something like this. Still might be, something to let the staff run around on. How much is not much? Is it a few months of free dinner sort of price?

Ok, to be fair I'll have to take some pics of it in it's current condition and send them on. Haven't really got a price to be honest.

And you'll either have to be a mechanic, or have one ready - it does need work, even just to get it going now more than likely. I suppose a decent mechanic would have it up and zipping about in a day or so.

I'll take some new pics tmro and send them onto whoever might be interested... and if into it feel free to make some sort of offer (thanks Timba, but the GF doesn't allow other people cook for me without going into some sorta jealousy fit )

No worries, I think you've got a free dinner coming your way from the photocomp anyhow I saw a bike about the same age as that, Suzuki I believe. It was going for about 12k in running condition but not much to look at. Have seen some fixed up really nice going for 30k+. Don't really know how to price these things though. I'd be interested after seeing a few more pics and talking to my mechanic. Thanks.

Yeah, I was thinking about maybe 12k or so if it was in really good condition - take off the 5 or 6k to get it back into that condition, and it would prolly be fair enuf to all.

I'm really just thinking of selling it as it's a shame to just leave it sitting there any longer, so anyone who's into it and can fix it up can prolly have it for a few K. The 150cc 2 strokes are a blast to drive, especially around the city, zippy and as light as anything.

Anyway, will pass on some pics tmro.

PS - will be round for those steaks prolly weekend after next T... don't worry, we ain't forgotten .

Shit and I just sold a 250 Honda Rebel with the green book and all for 15,000. Dead battery and about 6 thousand in tune ups and a new rear tire. I should have gotten more. Live and learn.
