Since the wife bought me a note 4 for xmas no need for my note 3. This has been the best phone ive owned and has worked flawlessly. It has always had a glass and back cover. The phone is in excellent condition and everything works as it should.

Note 3 is a good phone , but you will find that the note 4 will exceed your expectations

it is the top smartphone of 2014 , and they have just been able to admit that it has the latest gorilla glass on it also

I have a note 2 and though the reviews of the note 4 have tempted me , I have decided to wait until september next year for the note 5

I went from the original note to the 3. The original note was not that great imho. I wanted the nexus 6 but with the so so reviews im glad i didnt order one. I also would have had 2 new phones to deal with.

The Note 3 sure is great kit. Not a bad price I reckon, I paid about 23k for mine.
I don't see it becoming obsolete anytime soon.
The battery only lasts one day if you use it much.

I still use my Galaxy S1, but it's been orphaned already by Samsung.

Bollox. Note 4 is a good phone in many ways, let down by shite Samsung sw. I'd prefer an xperiz z3 due to the better sw. The Note 4 is virtually identical to my G3 cat6, but with worse sw and it's much bigger in the hand, but only a very slightly bigger screen (good for some, not for me). The Note 4 is a very good phone, but no better than my 6 month old G3...

The Note 4 is significantly better than the Note 2. Having said that, as I've stated on other threads, the best phones of 2014 are no better than the best phones of 2013; they didn't improve much at all in that time; slightly quicker processors with better battery life was offset by screens with more pixels that suck more power and speed - most of the top phones easily go 2 days now (my L3 on average use goes 3 or 4, as does the xperia z). I have a 300mbps cat 6 phone, but rarely do I need any faster speeds than the 20mbps my 3G xperia z gives me. The sw updates from Icecream to Lollipop are virtually nil. No much if any speaker upgrades to peak of.

The Note 3 is a horrible bit of plastic, but if you have it in a case then who cares? Sony, HTC and Apple have much nicer phones, and now the Note4 is in that league, so that's a big improvement for Samsung. Now, Samsung need a massive update to Touchwiz, which I'm sure will come this year...

I have mine in a leather wallet. I have been tempted by the gorgeous Sony design aesthetic but having a wallet is so good since it negates the need for horrible scratch-able screen protectors and if you have your phone in a wallet then what is the point of a beautiful glass back.

The problem with the Note 2 is that it is so obviously a girl's phone with its soft round curves (KLF got one the day they came out and still won't trade up). The Note 3 reprises the classic masculine angularity of Samsung's design coup-de-grace the original Galaxy S2 but updates it with the requisite big screen.
