1 sq wah is 2m x 2m, ie 4 m2.

1 rai is 40m x 40m, ie about two cricket wickets long by two wide.

This is an old thread but we are looking to buy a 2-bed bungalow or similar with about 40m by 40 m of land commutable to Maerim area so about 1 rai

Would prefer a country area, some of the locations here sound good.

My gf is not welsh but she is learning ( sorry could not find the correct flag)

land values vary enormously, depending on location in Mae Rim

from B300K a rai for basic ricefield to over 1Million for prime land near a good road

even more if you are in the hills near the resorts

Are you refering to small cheesey things ?

Land prices vary by loacation and how big the plot. The bigger the plot the cheaper the price per sq metre. The further out of town the cheaper the plot though some areas near the mountains are still expensive.

Mai Rim is just outside town so no problem reaching the shops.
