    no worries Giggs

if you cycle around CM inner city, you will be amazed at the number of very quiet tranquil sois. Even the traffic fumes don't seem to penetrate them. That may be due to the trees and plants that grow everywhere

as I said, I am living in a nice soi at the moment, but the neighbours are not quiet and my house walls let all the noise in

    1. don't live in a wooden house near noisy neighbours
    I have reported your post

Your house looks fantastic DA. Can't wait to see photos of the completed project. It's obvious looking at what you have completed so far that you have a great eye for detail.

I am also looking forward to the continuation of this build in December. Good job so far. Some people sure do have thin skins and others low tolerance.

It´s taken me a few houses to realise but the biggest culprit for letting in noise appears to be the windows in Thailand, worth spending a little more and installing decent doors and windows - NO sliding doors or windows, something that has a seal and keeps out both noise and pollution!
    Looking forward to the updates..........

This is the patch cleared up a bit; they left those large bits of wood though

they brought in a crane, as this is a posh city job

they strapped the cable around the log and lifted it, health and safety??

I went up to the top floor and had a look from there

doing the same thing to the next log

after lifting it onto the baseplate, they nail some rough supports so it does not fall over

    a log dragonfly

anyway, back to the hard work

    The second to last post

    and all up

this was accomplished in about 1.5 hours, by a bunch of hard working guys

    very good and exacting work

anyway, so the construction can now continue with the beams etc

Number one and two on the right in the photo do not cut with each other, if they are in their final position one is out of plumb , hope you do not mind me mentioning. Sorry, I am poking my nose.
