I find these revival albums a bit sad. A bunch of old men singing to an audience that they can't relate to. AC DC had their day and they were great but it's over.
Unless they're just doing it for kicks which would be a whole different story.

Sorry, but I completely disagree. Doesn't sound like any bunch of old boys. Sounds like pure AC/DC.

    Agreed...
They had their time in the sun forever.
The definitive and iconic straight in your face classic rock show, as they didn't miss a beat with Bon or Brian.

Nothing worse than old men rockers that think they still have it.

I would prefer to remember them as they once were.

Have you taken the time to download and listen to the entire album?

I take it case by case when it comes to writing off a band that is past its prime. While some are better off admitting that the glory days are over, others still have what it takes.

After listening through the complete 'Rock or Bust' album, I would say AC/DC still have a lot to offer and their creativity and musicianship is still evident.

Never liked them much after Bon Scott pegged it, tbh. He had a brilliant voice for their sound, and I didn't like the overly-screechy Brian Johnson. bah humbug

Hmmm...a few million seem to disagree with those that dislike Brian Johnson as the lead vocalist.

AC/DC's best selling album 'Back in Black' features Brian on vocals.

From the wikipedia page for the 'Back in Black' album:
As of June 2011, the album has sold an estimated 50 million copies worldwide, making it tied for second highest-selling album of all time, the highest-selling album by a band (together with Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon), the best-selling hard rock album of all-time, and the best-selling album ever released by an Australian musical act.

To each his own as far as preference for lead vocalists. While I thought Bon Scott was great as the vocalist, I am also OK with Brian.

I do have issues with other rock bands that changed lead vocalists. One example being Van Halen. To me, the group lost their signature sound with the change from David Lee Roth to Sammy Hagar and never regained their stride.

I saw AC/DC on tour after they released Back in Black and saw them again on their last Oz tour.
    The experience hasn't deteriorated.

Good points. "Back In Black" was an amazing album considering they'd just lost Bon Scott. It was also a lot more commercial, and bigger-sounding production- wise for the US market. I thought Johnson's lyrics were also tailored more for Stateside..

Bon Scott is just one of rock's best-ever vocalists. Unique voice that just suited the music down to the ground, as per Ozzy Osbourne, Robert Plant, and a few more. That he died young just added to the legend.

So we can gauge where you are coming from, can you give examples of bands/recording artists that meet your approval?

    Robert Palmer.
    Frankie Miller
    Early Bowie
Chris de Burgh prior to LIR
    Jeff Beck
    Early Tracy Chapman
    John Newman
Many more but that should give you enough to criticize.

Considering the band still sell out Arena's I suppose we could say they are pretty shit. ??????

Get real dudes, they are friggin brilliant.

Koojo loves the " Village People " , he loves that cowboy guy.

AC/DC are way to loud for him.

As would the Spice Girls and they were shit as well, but at least those slappers packed it in before they croaked it or went loopy.

Thank you for clarifying. There's no need to jump to conclusions about being criticized (at least by me), although knowing what often happens in this forum, I can understand why someone would be concerned. I just like to know as I am an avid collector and I always seek new ideas to expand my horizons.

I already have in my collection of 2,600+ cataloged albums examples from Robert Palmer, David Bowie, and Jeff Beck. I will do some checking on the other artists you've named to see if they are of interest to my tastes.
