Down the middle of the broad street of the city, the tree of life was on both sides of the river, bearing 12 kinds of fruit, producing its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree are for healing the nations.

Chant down babylon.
It's whey in my brain.
Good, positive Saturday morning vibes from Peter Tosh, featuring Mick (Funky Chicken) Jagger.
My favourite producer in Reggae is Lee Perry. Here's a short film of him mixing for Junior Murvin and some of the Heptones and the Congoes, in his old Black Ark studio. (Which burned to the ground a few years after this film was made...)
I think this is quite interesting. A chap called DJ Boomshot sampled parts of the session above and made this tune. He did it very well, in my opinion.
And here's a classic from Lee Perry recorded in the Black Ark studio.
Another from Lee Perry and The Upsetters.
Another one of my favourite producers is the Mad Professor. Try this.
And this.
And this one. The good Professor mixing it live.
Lee Perry and the Mad Professor collaborated on a few tunes. Here's one.
And another.
Mad Professor inna Dancehall style.
This could go in the 'What are you listening to now?' thread, but it seems fitting here. (Produced by The Cool Ruler and Lee Perry).
Don't think we have had this one, the 80's were the golden years

Sitting in the garden having a coffee, and this popped into my head. Positive vibes for a Sunday morning.
I've just noticed that the first two Mad Professor tunes I posted have been removed by the user. WTF! Here's one of them.
And a different one.
A man with a splendid voice, Jah Lion. (AKA Jah Lloyd). Lee Perry production.
I had this one on cassette years ago and rewound and played it until it didn't sound much like this. The technology has improved.
One of my very favourite reggae tunes, also by U Roy, with the Gladiators. Crackly and complete with version. Splendid.
