Californian heavy metal act Avenged Sevenfold will be playing some of their greatest hits at Bangkok's Thunder Dome venue on April 24th 2012.

Bangkok will soon play host to a heavy-duty performance by US rock stars Avenged Sevenfold, which takes place on April 24th 2012.

The metal band will be performing at the Thunder Dome in Muang Thong Thani as part of the Asian leg of their latest tour, which will also bring them to Tokyo, Taipei, Manila and Singapore over the coming weeks.

Hailing from Huntington Beach, California, the band's current line-up consists of singer M Shadows, lead guitarist Synyster Gates, rhythm guitarist Zacky Vengeance and bass player Johnny Christ.

They are well known for their diverse musical style, as expressed over the course of a career that has encompassed five studio records, eighteen singles and four million album sales.

Records such as City of Evil, Nightmare and Sounding the Seventh Trumpet earned them second place in Ultimate Guitar's list of the top ten bands of the 2000s.

Tickets for Avenged Sevenfold's Thailand show are available online now for 1,500 baht (GBP30.80), with the performance set to get started at 20:00 local time.
