Why are you affecting to guffaw at such a sight?
Are you a pig?

What wasnt reported was that the coroner in fact also stated that it may have been natural causes that led to my mums death. Suppose that wouldnt make such interesting news hence why the heartless reporters have jumped on the Thailand bandwaggon, without sparing a thought to how we may feel at this surprise greeting the front page of our local newspaper days after the inquest. May i also add that my mum died this year 11th April, and not immediately after the 2004 tsunami. I could say its more than the reporters who are heartless.....
Sorry about your mum Jemma and about the press. Not very nice when they get involved. The press in Thailand is 10 times worse though so at least she passed away back home.
It doesnt bear thinking about what might have happened if she was still in thailand.
I agree, but it's easy for people on the internet to be heartless...sorry for your loss and RIP to your mother.
Though, I don't think it's helpful to be trawling the internet for potentially hurtful comments that will exist on sites such as this. They attract some people who enjoy posting offensive comments, even where the dead are concerned.
The media, especially multi-media, especially in Thailand, is a bitch, and as much as it's understandable you wanting to read what's being written, it's not going to help in the long run.
I cant say how I'd feel in your situation or what I'd do, but I really think you should stop browsing this type of site for your own sake.
Jemma,
I agree with khmen, there is not a lot to be gained by just looking in on boards like this one, although I do think that even the least discreet of our members would temper their comments if they knew a loved one of the deceased were reading. That being said, if there is particular information you are looking for there are some knowledgeable people on this board (believe it or not) and I'm sure someone would try to help you if there were something you wanted to know.
Very sorry for the loss of your mum.
I bet she was excited and looking forward to it Jemma , I am so sorry for the early demise of your Mum , and I alone know how a seemingly trivial initial incident , can turn a nasty corner if your lucks out , ( I was literally 2 days away from having my right foot amputated through poison , a waterbourne infection got in where I had a touch of atlete,s foot 20 odd years ago ) please don,t take offence by my remark " poor ol gal " she actually looked a young 46 to me ,, it,s just a general term I use ol gal ,,ol boy RIP to your MumQuote:

All very sad...hate to think of the potential dangers from the current floods everyplace here knowing the sad state of some infrastructure...water supplies, sewers, drains and the plethora of septic tanks...
