You just knew if it was India, corruption would be involved somewhere. And it probably will be again when he pays someone off.

Mr Ambani, 53, who owns much of oil, retail and bio-technology comglomerate Reliance Industries, paid 44million to build his dream property, but astronomical property values in the Indian city mean it is now worth 15 times that amount.

Not so. A war that reduces the global population by 80% is the only viable solution.
This is why socialism is so dangerous. This is why a million times more people have died as a result of socialism then capitalism.

It's an insult to all the mums, dads and kids that worked in his dad's sweatshops building the company.

And this is how the rich prick squanders his father's ill-gotten legacy.

He's probably insured it for a $billion so he can burn it down and claim off the insurance.

Poorly paid people have no debt, no obligations no stress, no fuck all. Not as bad as you think.

Socal, do you ever read your posts before posting them?

Have you ever seen poverty? Do you watch the news or documentaries on TV or read newspapers?

Do you know where Mumbai is?

You really do lack brainpower, don't you? I will temper my criticism with a certain amount of sympathy from now on.

There is no more extreme form of stress than struggling against malnutrition (aka Survival), none. If you want to start at ground level (well, You need to), and learn something useful and empathetic in the process, google Maszlow's Hierarchy of Needs. What stresses us varies as you ascend that scale.

I have seen it. Groups of Thai men sleeping on their motorbike taxis, or getting drunk with their friends all day.

While oilfield workers bust their ass for 12 hours a day for 3 weeks straight in -40 weather all winter, living in a dry camp(no alcohol) And I might add, you are not allowed visits from wives or girlfriends for the whole 3 week shift. And the porn is blocked on the internet service in camp. Just to go home for your week off where you have $300,000 debt on your house and another 20,000 debt on your vehicle. And you find out that your bitch cheated on you in the meantime. Then you pay 40% of your income in taxes.

That is certainly not my life but it is for most of the guys I work with. I have no debt on my house or vehicle and I am single. I am sure a "poor" motor bike taxi driver would live this lifestyle for a week and be begging to go back to Thailand.

I am not talking about the people in Africa that are literally starving. I am talking about lower class people in places like Thailand. Funny how allot of the random Thai's I run into have a fancier cell phone then I do.

Funny that. We were talking about a spoilt billionaire spending an obscene amount of money (which he didn't earn) on a ridiculously over the top building.

You'll probably find the construction workers that built it mostly earned a few dollars a day for a 12-hour day, 7 days a week.

Once again, your ridiculous foray into subjects about which you know jack shit leads you to yet another pathetic attempt at fudging the subject with a heap of non sequiturs.

Maslow's hierarchy is a load twaddle.

This Indian is being painted as a bit of an ogre, but in fairness, oes this building cost any more than an average skyscraper that plenty of corporate types build? (the land value simply rose ridiculously rapidly) ...and who amongst us really knows what he's done for (or to) any of the poor (or middle class) of India?
