Australia has got no chance with that Dutch fraud Pim Verbeek in charge. In two odd years he has got team playing the most dour football in the history of the national team, two defensive midfielders and one striker ffs. His only strategy is to park the bus which is good against 5ft Asian midgets who can't score, but what happens when they go one goal down?
Correct . . . nor doers anyone with a brain pretend that we do, irrespective of the strategy.Originally Posted by Mordechai

I watched Brazil play the mighty Tanzanians last night and guess what? They were playing with 2 holding midfielders also. Virtually every team nowadays is adopting this strategy, flood the midfield and keep chances at a premium.
The problem with Australia isn't the tactics, it's the personnel. To think they'll get out of the group stages with Kennedy leading the line is ludicrous.
