I don't know. This person obviously has some social skills to be able to charm people. I'll leave it to the psychologists to analyze the behaviour pattern, but he has never shyed away from the publicity and almost seems to delight in it. He has a small chance to get out of this one, peru has made it a national trofee of him. So many girls get killed in those countries and nobody gives a shit, sad.
There's video of him entering his hotel room with the girl at ~5:30am, and then he emerges alone three-and-a-half hours later and takes off- pretty damning evidence, imho.
Kind of an interesting sidebar, it appears that there is also a Thai connection, although not directly related to either murder. There is a recording in an investigation in the Netherlands which has Van der Sloot offering to broker arrangements to bring Thai prostitutes into the Netherlands for sale to the sex clubs and brothels there - for a fee per girl to be paid to him. Sorry, but I can't remember which news outlet I saw this story on, but I recall that he was to get $1,300 dollars per girl delivered. Just another example of how this young 22 year old views women.
Alright! I know all the evidence is damning and I think the guy is a puke, but for some reason, I'm just not convinced. This would be the perfect setup -- guy already fingered for murder...get the scoop on the young lady's dad and his connections, too, please.

^Never said trial by media in the US was ok. Said that Fox played the story for well over a year. However, I certainly do believe that the fact that his father was a judge and an important guy in Aruba played a major part in how the case was handled there.

Well, I'm not looking for freak photos of him . . . I just remember the constant barrage from Fox and other channels . . . the word 'xenophobia' springs to mind about that.
I'm not saying that he isn't guilty . . . I wouldn't know either way . . . but the second dead girl definitely puts him in the bin. And if he is guilty, of one or both, then may he rot in jail until he draws his last breath.
^Agree that Fox was way over the top on that case. Between Greta and the Mom, it was like that was all that was on Fox for over a year. And Fox is already jumping back on the bandwagon on this new case. Glad I don't get Fox any more.
On the way out of the hotel he told the staff that he'd be back soon and they shouldn't bother his girl who was 'sleeping' in his room...
