Small willie? New scanners show all

Oh yea . . . these things are ever so good and not open to abuse . . .

Airport security screener arrested for retaliating over penis size jokes
    May 7, 2010 - 10:15AM
A US airport security screener allegedly beat up his colleague for poking fun at the size of his penis during testing of full-body image scanners.

Rolando Negrin was arrested after attacking a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) worker at the parking lot of Miami International Airport, The Miami Herald reported yesterday.

Negrin had been the butt of his colleagues' jokes for a year after the security scanners - which are used to detect foreign objects hidden under a person's clothes, but also show a person's private parts - revealed he had a small penis.

The frustrated screener told police "co-workers made fun of him on a daily basis and ... he could not take the jokes any more and lost his mind".

Negrin waited for his colleague at the parking lot on Tuesday after work, saying he wanted to talk about "respect", the Miami New Times reported.

When the colleague refused to let him into his car, Negrin allegedly whipped out a baton and started hitting him on his arms and back.

The alleged victim was forced to kneel and say "I'm sorry" to Negrin, before getting into his car and speeding off, the Times reported.

Negrin was arrested the following day.

A TSA spokesman said in a statement his organisation had "a zero tolerance policy for workplace violence" and were "investigating to determine whether training procedures were violated".

Testing of full-body scanners already take place in 19 US airports, included Miami International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport and the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, CNN reported.

The scanners have caused controversy around the world since they came into use, with claims they invade privacy and may breach child pornography laws.

Full body scanners have been trialled at airports around Australia and the Federal Government announced in February they would be put into regular use in the next four years as part of a $200 million airport security shake-up.

There is no problem with the technology, it's the human garbage they hire to operate the equipment that causes problems. The TSA does not attract the best or the brightest. There are many professions in which confidentiality and demeanor are important, and this is one of them.

The bill (PDF), known as the Securing Aircraft From Explosives Responsibly: Advanced Imaging Recognition ("SAFER AIR") Act, would require all commercial airports in the US to use full-body scanners as their primary screening method by no later than 2013. The bill is a response to criticism among some lawmakers that the DHS has been dragging its feet on implementing the technology.

Full-body scanners have been in testing at some airports in the US for several years, and the Department of Homeland Security ramped up expansion of the screening program after the Christmas Day bombing attempt. Some 48 airports have installed the machines so far, and the DHS has purchased 450 of them.

I know some people have privacy issues. I donít see what the big deal is as long as everyone else is going through the scanner, as I have to.

The upshot is, never fly on a cold day.
Of course there could be a bright side for us 10 inchers. The female flight attendants may get to know and shag us in the toilets.
Maybe even a couple of the male staff .....if we are very lucky.

The problem is not the machines, it's the low mentality idiots hired to work security at airports, particularly the American TSA. These images need the same confidentiality, respect and mature behavior usually afforded to medical records, then there will be no problems. There have already been several incidents of childish silly behavior by those entrusted with this equipment and information.
