John McCain was not tortured in Vietnam prison, guard claims

John McCain was not tortured while being held as a prisoner of war, the chief guard of his Vietnamese prison has claimed.

Nguyen Tien Tran said: "We never tortured McCain. On the contrary, we saved his life, curing him with extremely valuable medicines that at times were not available to our own wounded."
Mr McCain, the Republican presidential candidate, who was a Navy pilot during the Vietnam war, regularly refers to his experiences after being captured when his plane was shot down over North Vietnam in 1967.
He was taken to Hoa Lo Prison, nicknamed the "Hanoi Hilton", where he was kept for more than five years and subjected to such brutal beatings that he attempted suicide, he later recalled.
Today he is unable to lift his arms above his head and, it recently emerged, finds activities requiring intensive use of his hands - such as typing - extremely painful.

What a silly lie. He worked at the "Hanoi Hilton" where Nguyen's job was to torture POW. If he didn't he would be killed himself.
If he had actually used valuable medicine on a POW that could have saved their own countrymen Nguyen would have been killed.
For Nguyen to be alive means that he is a liar.

Looks like someone has watched to many Rocky movies!! Different types of torture mental and physical not sure which McCain suffered probably a bit of both, but I am also sure there were no atrocities carried out by the good ole American military?
Oops sorry I kinda remember a village disappearing name My Lai (massacre) Lt E. Calley (US Army) OIC (Officer in Charge of this operation)
Calley said it didn,t happen like that does this ring any bells?? Wandering.

McCain was quite likely beaten up when captured, but when the VC found out who he was- Admiral McCains son- he was then treated basically with kid gloves. His arm injuries were because when he activated his ejector seat, he did not hold his arms close in to his body.

I never said that America didn't do evil stuff. Doing evil stuff and lying about it is what war is all about. If a person doesn't think the MyLai massacare didn't happen then one would be a fool. The same kind of a fool that would believe that the Viet Kong were all happy, friendly, oppressed innocents who never tortured a soul.

I never mentioned the Viet Cong!! What I said concerns the disinformation concerning who does or says what? McCain and his representatives say he was tortured along with all the other pilots and POW,s who were held in the Hanoi Hilton, am afraid we only have their word for that unless you take Rambo,s exploits into North Vietnam to recover MIA personnel.
I dont remember much mercy being shown by either side during the Vietnam conflict. American use of Napalm and flame throwers spring to mind,I know this happened because I have seen live footage.
I have not seen live footage of torture By the American Army, Viet Cong or the NVA.
Question is where is McCains proof?

I have all the symptoms McCain has, can't type, can't lift my arms above my head either. The doctor said I have corporal stress syndrome from wankin too much. I was a POW in Vietnam too. Wankiin was all we had to do, except the time I ate 50 eggs.

Heh...so much for these armchair geography experts, eh?
That's like Mad Joe Biden getting the West Bank confused with Gaza.

The Libtard hatred for anything that remotely smacks of Military / Patriotism / Unselfish service to country will always elicit scorn from these geography-imparred Nattering Nabobs of Negivitism...

Damn I never thought of that,, But then I never imagined that the NVA would be that afraid of one Admiral, maybe if he would have shouted at them they would have thrown down their weapons and called it quits before they killed so many people.

Kindness knows no bounds even in a time of war. Add to that Nguyen Tien was a communist who practiced a world brotherhood of man. It's like a double dose of brotherly love!

Heresay have you got proof he was tortured? Would you trust what any politician tells you? I think you are too trusting its all American propaganda, to make him look good for the elections. As I said there was a lot of hurt on both sides, as they say you win some you lose some!!!

Do you have proof he wasn't tortured?
Who cares that he is a politician. Everyone was tortured.
There are many kinds of torture. Maybe he didn't have bamboo shoots growing out of his fingernails (to the literalists, yes I know what they really did) but it is impossible to believe that less than 100% of POW were not treated in ways that went against the Geneva convention. Just as it would be impossible to believe that the USA or any other country perfectly follows the Geneva convention.

But if McCain stayed at the Hilton and got bad service couldn't he now sue Paris or something?

Is being tortured a necessary qualification to become the President of the United States of America? Or ought you to be thinking of other attributes to select whoever is about to become the most powerful person on the planet?
