A heroic mother who battled to save her nine-month-old baby’s life during the Westfield horror stabbing had died in hospital. The baby is understood to have been stabbed in the stomach and underwent surgery on Saturday evening after shoppers used clothes to stem the bleeding.

Attacker’s parents reveal son targeted women out of frustration he couldn’t get girlfriend

The father of the Bondi mall murderer says his son was a “very sick boy” and revealed the killer targeted women during the attack out of frustration he could not get a girlfriend.

His mother, Michele Cauchi, told the Mail she believed her son attacked women during his rampage “because he wanted a girlfriend and he’s got no social skills”.

Cauchi said his son battled with mental illness for many years.

“He let himself down, he was taken off medication because he was doing so well but then he took off to Brisbane,” Andrew Cauchi told news.com.

“You don’t know how beautiful this boy was. There’s no way, I did everything in my power to help my son.

“I’m sorry, there’s nothing I can do or say to bring back the dead.”

Four people stabbed in church in Australia

Four people, including a pastor, have been stabbed in a church in the Sydney suburb of Wakeley, Australia.

It writes Sky News.

According to the media, police said the injuries were not life-threatening and that an alleged perpetrator had been arrested.

The incident was said to have happened around 7:15 p.m. local time, and all four are now being treated for stab wounds. According to Sky News, the church livestreamed the ceremony and viewers were able to follow the attack before turning off the signal.

The attack comes days after six people were stabbed to death in a Sydney shopping mall.
