BTW what's their Biz Class like ?
Cheers
Every time I've ever flown that route on Thai they have used one of two old 747's.
I've done both business class and economy and I'd rather do another airline given a choice.
The good thing is, it's expensive, so I claim the Thai fare from the company and travel on Emirates / Qatar / EVA, I find that I actually enjoy the stop over in the ME if it's less than 2 hours. It's a nice break.
Their website will tell you what plane is being used, someone did tell they went on a 777 recently.

^ Cheers for that Gus.
Worryingly it's coming up with
And if I do a search by route or airport, I get:TG 917 Unknown Flight
Sorry, we could not find the flight TG 917 in our system. There are several possible reasons why we don't have a record matching this flight number including:
The flight number or airline code is incorrect
The flight number may have been changed by the airline
The flight may not operate on the date requested
The flight may actually be operated by another airline
The flight may be a charter flight that isn't tracked in our system
No flights were found departing from Heathrow Airport and arriving in Suvarnabhumi Airport at the given time period.
I just found out it is the Airbus
From Jan 16, 2012, A340-600 aircraft will operate the service with individual In-Flight Entertainment on First, Business and Economy Classes.
The basic difference between the A340-600 and the B747 is in the seat capacity which can be summarised as follows:
B747: Royal First Class 10 lie-Flat seats / Business Class 40 Seats / Eco class 325 seats
A340-600: Royal First Class eight flatbed seats / Business Class 60 Seats / Eco Class 199 seats
I found this for today.

Check out this photo thread by this guy, brilliant , he shows you everything on his biz class LHR to BKK trip

Even the seat controls
I find it highly unlikely that any plane arriving or departing Heathrow has economy class seats anymore.
Seems on every forum on every thread even remotely discussing air travel, there's some wank blathering on senselessly about his first class or business seat. Pretentious, class-conscious TEFELers, chancers and ne'er-do-wells crack me up, they do.

I take it you don't have a Gold Card
Sign up and save your airmiles if you fly enough and you can do the same.
It's cost me only 400 GBP (21000 baht)and I got 50% off my airmiles, so they take 65000 miles instead of 130,000 to pay for that LHR-BKK Biz Class return ticket. The real price should be 2300 quid which is a good family holiday for most people
If you fly enough sign up

Actually one of the big trends in the industry is people flying business class for vacation on their own coin. It's a mark of just how cheap it's got these days.
I have return flights to Thailand paid up to December, and if you buy in advance you can get much better deals. Same if you fly at off peak times.
Check any airline's website and be flexible, you'd be surprised at how the prices vary.
The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth
Angry passengers reported queuing for nearly two and a half hours last week – with some starting far outside the immigration hall – to be met with empty passport control desks and uninterested staff. Labour on Sunday night warned the Government it had to get a grip of the “immediate crisis brewing less than four weeks before the Olympics”. BAA, which runs Heathrow, admitted that target times for passengers passing through immigration were missed.

Then it's not Nawty, but Nawty would never had kept so (relatively) sensible for so long, he's just not capable.
We'll discuss what we want where we want thank you.
