Man. Too bad. I met him a few times at some XGames. Didn't know him personally but was definitely a huge promoter of so many extreme sport events. Took my daughters to a lot of those massive skateboard ramp exhibitions. Crazy stuff.

When some actor from the 50's dies at the ripe age of 95, it's not the same thing as someone famous in their 50's or younger. So they deserve their own thread.

This is just strange. I have flipped a sled and quads onto myself before. I have seen it happen more times than I can remember. Usually sled crashes that are fatal involve stationary objects and speed. Must have just been a freak incident or his heart went wonky at the moment. He had full gear on and full face helmet.

Who gives a fuck, dickwad. You're wrong - again - but are too embarrassed to admit you were/are too thick to find the right thread

There are ways to hurt yourself on sleds. They usually involve trees, jumping , avalanches and other sleds. Climbing a hill of power and turning the sled over usually is not one of them.

Being buried In snow with a 500lb weight on you might be though. I would guess suffocation.

Fresh powder hill climbing is the safest part of sledding. If you screw up, you usually just fall off and separate from the sled right away

More details will come out I'd imagine.

Your post from the sheriff said that the sled landed on top of him though.

Handlebar to the throat would do it. Freak accidents happen.

    Ask Steve Irwin, for example.

Or pulling them out of snow banks or partly thawed lakes, causing muscle strain in your back and spending a couple of months off work recovering.

Getting sleds stuck sure blows. Where did you sled ? I did in northern BC when i was young. My dad had a Yamaha V-Max with the big front shocks. It was a rocketship. Still looks good all these years later

Shut the FUCK up. You know nothing about sleds. If you did , you'd know that is a sharp looking machine considering its nearly 30 years old.

A man known for pushing hard on fast machinery will sometimes push too hard.

Do you get your speed thrills vicariously now you are older?
Speed thrills speed kills. At least one thrill seeker who only managed to kill himself. Well done.
