    Thai climbers abandon Everest

    Bangkok Post: Top Stories

only 350 mets from the summit
I just new they didn't bring the right amulets with them

    wtf does this mean?

It is also the only team so far to attempt to scale Mt Everest from the Nepal side this autumn, in sharp contrast to last spring, when dozens of climbers had headed for the 8,848-metre summit.

It means they were idiots to try when no experienced teams had made the attempt in the last few months, probably due to conditions.

Choosing a good campsite is important to any expedition.
    Their choice was suspect

I think it was good that they found Everest in the first place, have you seen how many mountains there are around there?

It is a sad reflection when hearing of their noble quests one already knows the outcome . . . it is even sadder when the outcome is confirmed to be exactly what one thought it would be.

One should crawl before one attempts to walk, one should walk before one attempts to run.

Not so in Thailand . . . Nuclear Power! Climbing Everest! One million cows! $100 laptops . . . sigh, am I living in a parody?
