Woman and man charged with plotting to traffic child to harvest organs in UK

Like something out of a horror movie. FFS.

A woman and a man from Nigeria have been charged with planning to traffic a child to the UK to harvest their organs.
Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu, 55, and Ike Ekweremadu, 60, both of Nigeria, have both been charged by the Metropolitan Police following a specialist operation.

They have both been remanded in custody and will appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
The Metropolitan Police said a child has been safeguarded and is receiving support.

Organ harvesting is a surgical procedure that removes organs or tissues for reuse, typically for organ transplantation.
The investigation was launched after detectives were alerted to potential offences under modern slavery legislation in May 2022, the force said.

Worse than that, he is a politician and a lawyer!

Ike Ekweremadu: Nigerian senator accused of organ-harvesting plot

A Nigerian senator has been charged with conspiring to transport a child to the UK in order to harvest organs.

Ike Ekweremadu, 60, and his wife Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu, 55, were due to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

Mr Ekweremadu's spokesperson confirmed to the BBC that the senator had been charged in the UK over the case.

A child of unknown age has been taken into care. Police said officers were working to support the alleged victim.

The Ekweremadus are accused of conspiracy to arrange and/or facilitate the travel of another person with a view to exploitation.

Mr Ekweremadu, who was recently made a visiting professor at the University of Lincoln, served three terms as Nigeria's deputy president of the Senate, from 2007 to 2019.

The lawyer and politician, a member of the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP), has been a senator since 2003.

An investigation by the Metropolitan Police's Specialist Crime Team took place after detectives were alerted to potential modern-day slavery offences.

Organ-harvesting involves removing parts of the body, often for commercial gain and against the will of the victim.

A University of Lincoln spokesman said: "Visiting professors are often, as is in this case, non-resident at the university, unpaid and advisory.

"We are deeply concerned about the nature of these allegations but as this is an active police investigation, we cannot comment further at this stage."

open the borders, let them all in, increase their benefits, house them, feed them, asylum for all the worlds oppressed and 15% for the rail strikers.

the racist, misogynist, homophobic and white privileged metropolitan police should be ashamed of themselves for arresting this well meaning couple, detained purely because they were in possession of thick lips and curly hair.
